New 4K screenshots released for Remedy’s Control

Remedy has released a new set of 4K screenshots for its upcoming supernatural action-adventure game, Control. These new screenshots showcase some of the game’s environments, showing the visuals that will be capable with its Northlight Engine.

Control is a sandbox-style, gameplay-driven experience that promises to challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable loadouts and reactive environments while fighting through the deep and mysterious worlds Remedy is known and loved for.

Control will be one of the first titles that will support real-time ray tracing and even though it shares some similarities with Remedy’s previous title, Quantum Break, it will be using a new physics middleware.

The game is currently planned for a 2019 release.

Enjoy!

  1. meh. after quantum break its become apparent all talent left after max payne 2 or alan wake. sam lake writes good stuff but you need a good game to go with it.

    1. Quantum Break had good gameplay – it was just too short and the hour long TV show episodes didn’t help either.

  2. Control devs should take notes from the Wolfenstein franchise — it needs swastikas everywhere. A Hitler boss wouldn’t hurt either.

  3. Hard to get excited about these games anymore when you know anyone of these could become Epic Games Store exclusive in the future.

    1. Yeah, because it completely destroys your gaming experience, right?
Just quit gaming dude, because honestly, the hits are going to keep coming. You obviously can’t handle it.

    2. A lot of people will be waiting to see how the whole Metro debacle ends up, if that game sells or fails on the Epic Store. Depending on that situation the pc landscape can change.
And yeah screw epic bringing console wars and exclusivity to PC!

      1. Stop comparing console exclusives to different storefronts on PC.
Making a free account and installing a free program has nothing in common with shelling out 400$ to play a game.

        1. When Epic does not offer reviews, discussions, forums or achievements, and are paying to hold third party exclusives hostage, I have every right to compare!

An inferior product is inferior doesn’t matter if its free!

When they make their own exclusives and offer a better store I’ll consider supporting them.

      2. The games chance of failing because PC gamers got their panties in yet another bunch is pretty slim now that it’s multiplat, especially on two consoles where people are already used to exclusivity, or will not care and buy it because they own both consoles and don’t care about this sh*t at all or understand it.

The fact that you think the PC landscape is going to change is laughable. DRM hasn’t gone away despite people hating it and many games failing with it.

There already is exclusivity to a specific launcher on PC, and people have decided they don’t care that much considering certain games have sold extremely well that have good that route.

The minority of people sitting around bit*hing about this are not going to make any change, things will continue as is and you’re either going to get used to it or stop playing video games. This isn’t going away.

        1. I am really tired of this whole metro thing, and I already spent my money on Sekiro, so I’m over it.

First, my ps4 only friends do not give a crap whatsoever about metro and xbox is you know, xbox, no one cares till something interesting happens there, maybe their next console.

What I meant was if metro does poorly a lot of pubishers and developers would reconsider taking Epics exclusivity deal, if metro does pretty good Epic is gonna have a lot more exclusives coming their way.

No idea what launcher you are referring to with games that sell extremely well that have a good route? whatever that means and I don’t care.

I don’t understand what isn’t going away, but I hope you go away. Its clear by your disdain about pc gamers, you are clearly not one, so why are you here? Either to stir up crap, bait or troll.

I got Sekiro, I’ll buy metro next year. I’ll see what happens when it comes out but, I don’t care any more. Maybe you are right maybe I am.

Nice trolling attempt though. Go bother ps4 or xbox players! I don’t care.

    3. How dare you express your personal opinion on the internet! Don’t you know you’ll be attacked for it and be told by some self-important keyboard warrior to “quit gaming” completely for not thinking as he does? ?

  4. Stunning large rooms devoid of good gameplay. There’s gameplay footage out there for months now, it’s Quantum Break except even worse: You can literally fly in this game. It’s another silly power fantasy game-movie with no brain combat. All style, no substance.
