Bethesda has released the QuakeCon 2018 trailer for RAGE 2, showing more than 7 minutes of brand new gameplay footage. RAGE 2 promises to combine id Software’s shooter pedigree and Avalanche Studios’ open world prowess to offer players the best of both worlds.
As Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland, you’ll traverse diverse landscapes using an array of powerful weapons and unique Nanotrite abilities to defeat ferocious factions, massive mutants, and the oppressive rule of The Authority.
The game promises to feature insane action, open-world environments with no loadings, vehicular combat, upgradable weapons, and like its predecessor will be using a first-person perspective.
RAGE 2 releases in Spring 2019.

boy this brings me back to 2009-2010 that they said that about rage 1 and look how that turned out

Yeah and if you play it on hard its “the dark souls of shooters” shut up polygon, you are clueless about games, you dont know anything about games. If anything this game looks like like mad max (the game) with guns or just cause from first person perspective. Because its made by the same devs and has similar ragdolls and animations, same explosion particles and ofcourse engine.

Seriously. Now that i bashed the journos lets talk about the game, it doesnt have the same visual style of the first game, everything looks more simplistic and less cluttered. Environments s look repetitive and not unique and the weapons are too high tech, but the combat looks impact full and satisfying. Overall this looks like “what if borderlands was a shooter, with the sci fi weapons and the car combat and all. So yeah looks like a pretty good open world fps, finally ubisoft has some competition.

yes the indoor environments also give me a call of duty vibe. But at least there is gore.

my brother used to love the first rage. i remember he killed my GTX 450 after failed to overclocked it because that ancient card wasnt powerfull enough to play that game ( horrible texture chopping, not to mention 35GB is quiet big for a game that time) . if he still live right now i would never let him watch this trailer, i dont know what would he does to my 1060

I liked the first rage and this is nothing like it.
Well your 275 has 448bit bandwith while mine were 128bit. That rage engine required high bandwith and fast clockspeed because of that mega texture.

After the downgrade of the first Rage, I’m sceptical.
A bright, post-apocalyptic mohawk is fine, but I’m not a big fan of the clown hair.
