Shadow of the Tomb Raider – New short gameplay trailer showcases some of the game’s environments

Square Enix has released a new short gameplay trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, showcasing some of its environments. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, players will explore a stunning yet dangerous world full of adventure. And similarly to its previous gameplay trailer, this one is also really short (around 30 to 35 seconds).

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will forge herself into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.

The game will last around 13-15 hours (without the side missions) and the hunting and the equipment will be more important this time around. The main tombs will be very important, will be “more classic,” and will be deadlier than before. Players will be able to swim and dive, and will be also able to use their rope to go up and down walls, run through them, and perform longer jumps.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will release on September 14th.

Enjoy!

    1. Well it’s beautiful. Compare that game with many others and this one will one. Granted not the best but amongst the best.

          1. It’s true that both FC5 and that HL in UE4 are beautiful i cannot argue with that. Still Tomb Raider isn’t shabby.

          2. I never said it looks “shabby” i simply said it’s not beautiful for my standards, you find it beautiful? Fine…

          3. That showcase you’re talking about will be playable soon, even if it’ll only be the first train part. Anyway i fail to see how is that not fair, they’re both videogames.

Besides, one is a triple A game, the other is a triple person “game”.

    2. A 2013 game that looks graphically better than this? Looking at the major releases of that year, one does not seem to exist.

        1. You’re the one who said it had 2013 graphics mate. I think most major game releases in 2017 to 2018 look fairly similar to it

          1. “You’re the one who said it had 2013 graphics mate”

You’re either stupid or trolling, pick one.

          2. I’m now just confused. You said it had 2013 graphics. I said it looks better than any 2013 game I could think of. You said what about 2018 games. I said you said it looks like a 2013 game. Which you did.

          3. Ok, no need to pick one, i got that.

I said it because it’s like that, it looks like a 2013 game, doesn’t matter no game look as good back in 2013, it’s a 2013 graphics. Actually now that i think about it, there are a few games that look better than that , like Metro LL, GTA V and i’d also put Bioshock Infinite in this, so well there you have your 2013 graphics they’re still carrying on.

      1. Battlefield 4, Crysis 3, ARMA 3,

Graphics in this game look blurry probably over SMAA or something.

      1. Nothing honestly, even cause i only player the first of the saga and that was crappy enough, only tried ROTT for a couple of hours. ditched when i realized it had the same exact gameplay, and stupid mechanics.

      2. I expect that game will use whole 12 GB of GDDR5 video memory on Xbox One X…

Xbox have 50% more memory than GTX 1080 and of course memory on console it is faster than on GTX 1080 because console use 384-bit interface (GTX 1080 use only 256-bit memory interface)

        1. Yeah. The xbox needs all its power for that 30fps. And here i am playing farcry 5 4k ultra settings with 3.5gb vram.
          Where is your god now?

        2. So, the Xbox One X doesn’t use any of that 12 GB for the OS, game engine, program, physics, etc?

All of that just magically happens without using any RAM on the Xbox One X?

Once again the average PC running a 1080 will have at least 8 GB of system RAM for the above and then the entire 8 GB VRAM in the 1080 will be dedicated to graphics only. That is why a 1080 in a PC destroys the Xbox One X in overall performance unless it’s a game that is horribly ported to PC with sh*t optimization. Best bet is to skip that trash anyway.

        3. Fun Fact, back when they debut the PS4 & Xbox One they were running on GTX 670 PC’s…. You Fool.

        4. hey pea brain, the Xbox One X has 12 GB of TOTAL memory. the 1080 has 8 GB of actual vram and its usually in a pc with 16 GB of system ram so that is 24 GB total. and the 1080 has faster memory so it ends up with nearly identical effective bandwidth (320 compared to 326) even though the Xbox One X has 384 bit.

        5. “While 12GB of memory sounds like a lot, developers will only have access to 8GB. The remaining 4GB will be dedicated to running the operating system, which Microsoft says is required to run the dashboard at a native 4K resolution”

    3. Honestly i don’t see many differences with ROTT, maybe a slightly different lighting but nothing that noticeable.

        1. Colour filters are just something superficial, just like lighting adjustments, and no, textures are pretty much the same.

          1. But it doesn’t! It’s pretty much the same stuff. Besides that comparison you linked is garbage, the guy fkin used a stuttery video of ROTT and a very low quality one for SOTTR, you can’t even tell sh** from that.
Seriously the game looks the same, changing a few effects won’t make it better or worse.

  1. You’re a sexist, cis-gendered pig who confirms to binary gender standards. Get with the future! There is no such thing as gender!

    According to the left anyways….
