ARIKA is looking into bringing its new fighting game, Fighting EX Layer, to the PC

ARIKA will soon release its new fighting game, Fighting EX Layer, on PS4 and is looking into bringing it to the PC via Steam. As the team announced, it has begun research on making a Steam version, however this version won’t be released anytime soon.

As ARIKA stated:

“We have begun research on making a Steam version, but no matter how fast I think we won’t be able to do anything until at least September. It takes at least 2 months to develop if we focus all our energy, then an additional month for Quality Assurance.”

Fighting EX Layer is a 3D fighter with 2D fighting game mechanics and like ARIKA’s previous fighting games, it will feature signature elements such as Super Cancels, Running, and Side Stepping. Super Cancels happen when a character transitions from one Super Move to another. The game will also allow players to hit their opponents with Ground Chain Combos that can be performed by hitting the Light, Medium, and Heavy attack buttons in quick succession.

Basically, think of Fighting EX Layer as the spiritual successor to Street Fighter EX2.

Enjoy!

        1. It’s a novel idea. I should start charging these companies because I’m making them all rich with my awesome ideas.

      1. Pretty sure what he will refer as charismatic characters is that junk fan service stuff that lurks every anime game these days.

    1. Just go back to Neptunia or SENRAN KAGURA, pretty sure those games have a lot of charismatic characters for you.

  1. I remember Street Fighter EX plus. Man those were the days. Akira have better theme songs than Capcom too.

  2. I thought it was coming out on PC. XD Oh well. I was going to grab it but the multiple editions were a turn off. I hate how with modern gaming half the games come out with various editions and you have to figure out which one will screw you less. I’ll probably just end up waiting for a good sale on the Steam version if it has multiple editions too.
