According to a job listing, Blizzard is currently working on a new unannounced first-person game. This unannounced first-person game and will feature playable/drivable vehicles.
As the job listing reads:
“Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented gameplay engineer to help create vehicles and build vehicle handling features in a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project. The ideal candidate has proven experience in vehicle handling, with exposure to other game systems like physics, animation, and cameras.”
Other than that, we really don’t know much about Blizzard’s new project. And, as you may have guessed, we strongly suggest tempering your expectations as it will not be revealed anytime soon. As it’s pretty obvious, Blizzard is currently in a pre-development state, so we are most likely looking at a 2020 game (that’s a mere guess but hey, this is Blizzard we’re talking about).
We also don’t know whether this is a game based on one of Blizzard’s existing universes. Is this a Starcraft spin-off or a sequel to Overwatch? Its job listing suggests that the game will feature online functionalities but other than that, we don’t know whether it will be an MMOFPS or a more traditional game with a multi-player mode.
But anyway, we’ll be sure to keep share more details about Blizzard’s unannounced project as soon as we hear more about it!

and it’s SP with optional co-op and an offline mode! … I doubt it 🙁 this is Blizzard we are talking about.
To me it sounds more like a counter to Rocket League… oh boy, I doubt they will make a SP game any time soon.

[sigh] I know your right 🙁 , damn it why can’t they just make those two games and focus on epic SP games for now on(with optional co-op). Or at the least have two main teams that focus on MP and the other SP I am sure they can afford it.

I am still going to keep on hoping each year(not sure why) but I fear both will just turn into online only MP games if at all. If and when they announce them is when I can stop punishing my self lol. Sad thing is I almost already know what the answer will be but I am still in denial.

Same with me. That’s part of what didn’t appeal to me about WOW. That and it seemed like too much grinding to get anywhere but that was 5 years ago when I played it. It may be different now with expansions released.

looks more and more likely its the junkers (overwatches junkrat and roadhog) spin off after all. them doing the junker map recently while introducing the junker queen and other lore of theirs which they never do for maps already cemented it in my mind anyways.
