Playerunknown’s Battleground appears to be a huge success on the PC. According to Steamcharts, Bluehole’s battle-royale title has managed to top Grand Theft Auto V and has climbed in the 4th place of Steam’s games with the highest peak player count of all time. Not only that, but according to Steamspy, the game closes to 5 million sold copies, even though it’s still in its Early Access program.
From the looks of it, Playerunknown’s Battleground may be also able to surpass Fallout 4 and reach the third place. Back in November 2015, Fallout 4 had almost 472K concurrent players. Playerunknown’s Battleground currently has 382K concurrent players and this number will obviously increase once the game nears its full release.
Naturally, we don’t expect Bluehole’s title to come close to DOTA 2 that peaked 1.2 million concurrent players in March 2016 or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that peaked 850K concurrent players in April 2016. Still, it’s amazing what Bluehole has managed to achieve, so kudos to the team!

is there a reason why? its not particularly good.
People like shootin’, apparently.
People like the me/us vs everyone else . Start with nothing end with it all.
because people have jobs and don’t have time for stories and boring cutscenes, anyone has a chance to win in this game, knowing the map gives you advantage and you don’t have to be a loser in real life to win
Because over 5 million think it is. Pretty simple really.
i thought it was a flavour of the month that bought its player base? Now its only “not particularly good”
h1z1 became all about who has the most helmets to win.thats why
It’s actually really good
Noyce!
Mark my word , it will break FO4’s record
when h1z1 became about who has the most helmets to win this game just became that much better.
