Project Tower feature

Unreal Engine 5-powered third-person bullet hell shooter, Project Tower, gets new gameplay trailer

Yummy Games has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming Unreal Engine 5-powered third-person bullet hell shooter, Project Tower. This trailer packs 3 minutes of gameplay footage, and it will give you an idea of what this indie team aims to create. So, be sure to check it out.

Project Tower looks like a lower-budget version of Returnal. Or at least that’s the vibes I got from this trailer, especially during the boss battles. However, I don’t consider it a clone of it. After all, Project Tower won’t have any roguelike elements. That’s a big win for me as I don’t like at all roguelikes.

The game also comes with a new feature that will let players metamorphose themselves to better surprise their enemies. Players can use this unique mechanic to get out of all sorts of situations. On paper, it sounds cool. However, this trailer didn’t really sell me on it.

I also don’t know whether Project Tower will take advantage of Nanite or Lumen. There are a lot of visual artifacts on this video, so I can’t really tell. Still, I hope the devs will enhance the game’s animations as they feel a bit rough.

In this game, players will journey through various levels of a tower, battling lots of enemies. Along the way, they’ll need to solve tricky puzzles and use their weapons to uncover the tower’s secrets and break free.

Yummy Games plans to release Project Tower on PC in Q3 2024.

Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
