UNCHARTED Legacy of Thieves Collection feature

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves – PS4 vs PS5 vs PC Graphics Comparison

ElAnalistaDeBits has shared a graphics comparison video between the PS4, PS5 and PC versions of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. This video will give you an idea of how the PC version compares against old-gen and current-gen console versions.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection features both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This is the first time the Uncharted series comes to PC.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection supports ultra-wide screens, and will have an uncapped framerate. The game will also have a wide variety of modes and PC-centric enhancements such as improved UI for game options, reimagined user interfaces, the addition of scale sliders for some menus, GPU and VRAM detection and management options, as well as adding Auto Pause, Minimize in Background and Variable Load Speed support along with a host of other additions.

Sony will release this collection on October 19th. The games will support both NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.0. However, and contrary to Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, there won’t be any PC-exclusive Ray Tracing effects.

Lastly, you can find here its PC system requirements!

  1. This is how we make games !!! Games are not just shaders & Teraflops ………. but first off Games are ART ! Savoire-Faire , Orginality & Creaticvtty .
I would Love that someday Sony dares and brings us Killzone Trilogy to PC !!

    1. Yup OLED is the Only way to game bro 😉
      My CX55 is so ready!

Oh and PC Only of bloody course ..LOL .. As you said so nice – Pc FTW 😀

Had most POS consoles thru the years and Allways hated what POS they gave me. Worst thing is I allways new I would hate em..Well PS4 PRO was my Last piece of Sh*t crap console!

      1. Until LG make the panel on that size, I dont think proper OLED PC monitor with reasonable size (and price) will pop up. Look at the latest ASUS ROG OLED Monitor, its 42 inch, the same smallest panel size made by LG on its C2 series of OLED TV. LG are the only OLED maker for sale to other company as far as I know. So, if you want an OLED monitor, the only reasonable and not that expensive option is LG TV of last year (C1 series), it often at a discount so you can buy it for US$ 650 for its smallest size (48″) , cheaper than any OLED monitor for PC. And you can probably search for some tips to utilize that giant screen for PC usage using PowerToys

  2. If the game stutters try using the Async DXVK branch. Uncharted supposedly borrows that tech with it’s DX 12 release to compile shaders on the fly, but even native DXVK ran God of War better. DXVK might simply be the way to go on a mediocre CPU.

    1. I’ve tried it on Jedi Fallen Order, the FPS go Very High but the stuttering is F**g Horrible !!! DXVK is a VERY BAD IDEA !!

      1. Regular DXVK has to build a shader cache. DXVK-async is basically what Sony is using on this port of Uncharted because their God of War port sucked. They are just using a DX 12 wrapper instead of a Vulkan wrapper and async is being used to build the shader cache with less stutter..

That stutter with regular DXVK is caused by a shader. The next time you see that on screen it won’t stutter. Regular DXVK shouldn’t be used for games like JFO. It should be used for multiplayer games like SWTOR where the additional async work will flag you for possible cheating. You care about raiding and pvp fps in a MMO, not an occasional stutter when seeing story content or building the cache.

JFO also stutters no matter what when you cross certain areas, that are more like real time loading screens. It’s due to textures and a decent size world, often on top of each other. You simply need Directstorage like tech to not stutter when using high quality assets, which is what Unreal 5’s big feature is. Streaming assets from the SSD and not using the CPU for everything. Other open world games don’t stutter because they cut and paste and reuse the same low quality assets.

The worst stutter I experienced in JFO was the Saw cutscene where they are loading assets behind the scenes. That same stutter happens on the new consoles release, even on the PS5. I have a newer Ryzen and a SSD faster than the PS5.

        1. i’ve played JFO on PS4 Slim !! Absolutely 0 Stutter @ 1080p Native !! PC Version is garbage , obviously they made it for Console !!

          1. Your Windows PC is the problem.

Here’s a random video of JFO running on Linux, with 0 stutters:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PptqVPmXvSg

          2. I guess you are blind as hell as that had the same stutters and fps drops in the same places as on pc.

          3. It’s amazing how blind some people are to stutters and vsync camera micro-stutter. They’ll swear up and down the game “runs fine” while it’s stuttering.

          4. yep and I knew exactly where too look in that video for the stutters that are the most noticeable and they sure enough were there just like on the windows version. every time some clown argues that fallen order does not stutter they will never follow up with any proof that proves their case. heck there is an idiot on multiple forums that swears not a single game with unreal engine ever has any stutter at all for him and that others need to blame their own pcs.

          5. With the console it’s more understandable with motion blur that is usually a heavy handed implementation at 30 FPS. On PC? They must have motion blur on, be playing at lower fps than high end rigs and just move their controller around really slow.

          6. I haven’t watched the whole video.

Could you tell me the exact timestaps with the most noticeable stutter?

Because if I find the time, then I plan on trying out JFO on my own Linux system, since the reproducible stutter spots would make for a great test case for the 3 different I/O-schedulers Linux offers.

            Thanks!

          7. It has nothing to do with OS. It’s the game engine and the entire reason the most touted feature of Unreal 5 was asset streaming from the SSD. No CPU or scheduler in the world can stop the stutter that happens on an asset load at certain check points in the game. There is one that always happens on a wire on Bogano as an example. The higher your fps the more noticeable it is. Without motion blur it’s VERY noticeable

Linux has a big advantage when it comes to memory management, but that would only really effect low end systems unless the game is a resource hog. Granted Windows sucks at clearing standby memory and you have to use Wagnardsoft’s (DDU makers) Intelligent standby list cleaner utility sometimes to fix MS’s shi@^y OS for some games with only 16 GB or 8 GB of RAM. That issue with standby memory being maxed and no free non virtual ram for the game to use at times CAN cause stutter, but that’s not what is happening in JFO.

          8. you are either a troll or the most laughably oblivious clown on here. ps4 version runs at 900p and has much more severe stuttering than the pc version. digital foundry showed not only the stutters but showed the game would even freeze up for a second when traversing. the reviews said there were hiccups freezes and fps dips.

          9. digital foundary are B**s (They always favours XBOX) !! i’m not a troll but you are a DumpAs*** …………….. i know a what is “native 1080p on PS4” , Dying Light 2 on PS4 is garbage @875p, some games on PS4 are true Native 1080p others downscale to 900p & even 720p !! but in this case Jedi Fallen Order on PS4 Slim is Native 1080p @ 30fps with some drops somtimes quality is a mix of High & Low (especially on shadows !!) on My PS4 Jedi Fallen Order Deluxe Edition is absolutly “Beautiful” with 0 Stutters, My PC = Ryzen 1700X – RX 6700XT – 16 Gb 3200 Mhz ———–> i will soon replace my 1700X by 7700X or 5800X3D depends on my budget !!

          10. digital foundry have video proof and detailed analysis where you are just some clown troll making up crap. they mention issues with the xbox too, you dimwit.

          11. You just shared your good exp with a device and yet people calling you a troll or clown……..ahh……these toxic comment sections….sigh….

    2. Note that DXVK can only translate DX9-DX11 to Vulkan, not DX12.

For that you need VKD3D-Proton, which is also used by SteamOS on the Steam Deck.

    3. Hey, this is excellent info. Can you please elaborate on how to work or how to use this branches? I just download the async one and put them alongside the others dxvk wrappers?

Will this async alongside the dxvk work on games like KC:D?? It stutters like hell

      1. Just put the DXVK-Async DLLs where the main game .exe is located.

Then you will need to create a text file named dxvk.conf (make sure it’s NOT named dxvk.conf.txt) and put the following line into it:

        dxvk.enableAsync = true

        That’s it!

Should work for most DX9-DX11 titles.

Also make sure to use the latest drivers for the best Vulkan support.

  3. This is how we make games !!! Games are not just shaders & Teraflops ………. but first off Games are ART ! Savoire-Faire , Orginality & Creativity .
I would Love that someday Sony dares and brings us Killzone Trilogy to PC !!

      1. I really liked KZ2 at the time. People complained about the controls, but I kind of liked the weighty feel to it. 3 was OK, haven’t played the Vita game or the first one (but I did hear that the Vita game was decent, and the first game is generally regarded as a flop), and Shadow Fall was just bad.

In other words, you’re mostly right lol

          1. No clue, I haven’t been able to access it today either. He hasn’t made any posts regarding this on his twitter or poast accounts as well, so who knows.

      2. how dare you good sir…how dare you. killzone 2 holds that special place in my heart..sure sure..the control was horrid and the gameplay unbalanced as all MOTHER FUC$%g hell…but how dare you…say part 2 was t*tties and the hex will be lifted. ( how dare you )

        1. Don’t waste your time with these Clowns !! Let them Play diapers Games like Fortnite & Overwatch …etc, Killzone is meant for Dudes not P**sies !!

    1. Yeah Uncharted 4 was so original that Neil Druckmann hijacked the game in late development from Amy Hennig, only made a decent game due to Bruce Straley being involved and then he made one of the worst games ever with a high budget (TLOU2) that lost the company a ton of money after Bruce left the (((hijacked)))) company.

The funny thing is that most people are so dumb they don’t even understand the subtext of TLOU2. It’s an Israeli supremacist game that tries to spin both sides as equally wrong, when one side has rocks and Druckmann’s side has a suprema court who allows live fire into unarmed protesters. Israeli soldiers also do brave things like beat up and pick on people with down syndrome when MOSSAD isn’t planning acts of terrorism against the US/UK like the Lavon Affair or USS liberty where they tried to involve Westerners in wars and blame Arabs for their acts.

To hide the fact TLOU2 was a supremacist game Druckmann tossed in some LBGT characters to use as a defense force for his apartheid ethnostate propaganda.

  4. I am skeptical of that video.
The PS5 settings look to have higher LOD/draw distance as the PC version in his video mimics more of the PS4 draw distance with the PS5 having a few more plants in the background than any other version.
