This live-action trailer for Anthem will make you wish for a full-length movie

Electronic Arts has collaborated with Oats Studios and Neill Blomkamp for a live-action trailer for Bioware’s upcoming multiplayer title, Anthem. This trailer showcases a story of survival set in the world of Anthem, decades before the events of the game, and looks absolutely phenomenal.

Now I have to be honest here; I don’t know if Anthem will turn into a great game. I don’t know whether its storyline will be up to what Bioware has produced in the past and I don’t know whether its solo play will feel solid. What I do know is that, based on this trailer, I’d love to see a full length movie of Anthem.

The suits in this live-action trailer are gorgeous and everything, from the market to the jungle environments, look as close to the game as possible. Seriously, this is one of the best live action trailer we’ve seen to date so make sure to watch it.

Anthem is currently planned for a February 22nd release, so stay tuned for our PC Performance Analysis. Until then, enjoy this live action trailer!

  1. It’s a big disappointment this short story and is confusing and could have done much better job when comparing other Oats projects. The soundtrack from Sarah tho`.

    1. This would be interesting if they did that to a sequel so we know wtf this story is about, suffice to say from what i saw, nothing in this game is interesting to me.

      1. I agree, I received the game free, pre-loading it now.
I liked the demo, the mechanics and the fun I had with some friends in the 2 Demos so far. But every time I’ve been done playing the urge of flying the javelin kept me coming back.
But I will judge the game after I played the “full” game.
This will not be the game that will absolve EA for the practices they do to their games, but It can absolve Bioware to some extent.

    1. If you mean Alitta directed by Robert Rodriguez, you won’t be disappointed. I saw it on Tuesday at an early screening and it’s dope.

    1. ps7 exclusive, one of the 3 exclusives on the system because they cost too much. So you get like 6 AAA games a year.

        1. No, really, you like things of poor quality. Name a good movie made by him that is not Disctrict 9. i bet you love Transformers and DC movies too

          1. Welcome to the real world where people have different opinions and tastes to your own. Get over yourself.

          2. I know that, yet…you sound butthurt after the confirmation of my affirmation. Funny thing you say that after calling other commentators cynics because they don’t share your opinion. You not only have a poor taste but you are also an hypocrite.

      1. What the hell does that have to do with anything?

It’s just cool to hate EA and everything they put out is that it?

There are plenty of other loathsome publishers out there. Hell you won’t have much of a choice if you base your purchasing decisions just on that basis.

        1. It’s “cool” to hate EA, because EA actively treats its playerbase and its developers like sh*t, is the point he was making.

If they made good games without trying to strip-mine every single one of their customers dry, people would finally start getting over their long history of bullsh*t, but no, they just keep on digging that hole…..

          So f*ck ’em.

          1. Well you’ve just described 90% of the gaming industry so good luck with that. Every publisher/developer is out to get as much money out of the consumers as they can if you believe otherwise your naive. EA and a few others just don’t care if they make it obvious.

          2. And that’s why Activision-Blizzard isn’t particularly popular right now, either. U-BE-SOFT has done some good, but they’re not exactly the best, Sony is relatively decent, Nintendo is solid, Microsoft is a joke, etc. etc. etc.

We take digs at EA, yes, but not only.

          3. Funny how no one had a good word to say about Ubisoft a year ago but lately everyone seems to have calmed down about them. Gamers are so fickle.

          1. >don’t follow the trend like the rest of you sheep
            >Usual cynical dross in the comments section.
            >It’s just cool to hate EA.

Make up your mind re**rd. you just said two trendy shill words that they use to defend EA/Ubi etc.. with.

          2. Buying games from EA is the definition of being a sheep.
You’re either delusional or a shill, there’s no way around it when this company is even lambasted by their brainless dedicated sports fans.

  2. I’d rather have an independent Neil movie not based on Anthem, certainly would pour money into it before ever thinking about getting Anthem.

  3. Not really.

Games are expensive to make my a**, all the money goes to these kind of s**t and marketing and favourable reviews. game itself will be a broken borefest.

        1. Black ops 4 had more budget than this and it’s a sad game. Fast Forwarding 4 months later, almost 0 content (especially Blackout, especially even further when just blackout and MP cost 30$) added but the promises of being the most supported game in the COD in the history.
The AAA industry is so “enter hate word here” that someone has to explode if it has to recover to some extent.

    1. I’m not sure if this will be better or worse than that cringeworthy music video Paul McCartney was paid to do for this game’s chief inspiration, Destiny!

    1. That is just ridiculous people like different things end of. I haven’t even played the demo and don’t even intend on buying the game as it isn’t my sort of thing but I’m not going to knock it if others are enjoying it or it suits their taste.

  4. Nice visuals, as most CG videos are these days. Aside from that, looks like more forgettable “AAA” trash. I genuinely couldn’t care less about this garbage, so little as I had to motivate myself to bother even typing this comment.

EA is just…… boring now. They’re a poisonous cesspool in the industry, but they aren’t even fun to hate on anymore. I’m ready for them to just go belly up already. Here’s hoping Anthem plays a role in that wish.

  5. For once there’s something that seems appealing about this game for me and it had to be a live-action trailer…
