Elden Ring Unreal Engine 5

Take a look at what Elden Ring could look like in Unreal Engine 5

Now here is something cool for all our Elden Ring fans. YouTube’s ‘Konariin’ has shared a video, showcasing what Elden Ring could look like in Unreal Engine 5. And, as you will see, it looks pretty great.

What’s cool here is that Konariin was able to perfectly capture the spirit and art style of Elden Ring. We also have higher resolution textures than those that were available in the original game.

In a way, this feels like a remaster of Elden Ring in UE5. Now as with most of the UE5 fan videos we’ve shared, this was done for portfolio purposes. The artist does not plan to release it to the public. It’s a bummer but hey, it is what it is. At least we have a video for it.

From what I can see, the artist has recreated an environment from the game. And while you can explore it, there aren’t any basic gameplay mechanics, or enemies to fight.

For a one-man project, this looks amazing. So, let’s hope that some devs will be able to match the quality of these graphics. After all, there are a few Souls-like games in development that they will be using Unreal Engine 5.

Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, you should also check out the following fan projects. For instance, you can find some faithful remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3, which are super cool. A few months ago, we also shared an amazing remake of Toy Story 2. Then there’s this cool fan remake of Metal Gear Solid. Let’s also not forget this fantastic fan remake of STALKER that’s worth a look. Oh, and don’t miss the Grand Theft Auto 6 fan concept in UE5; it’s pretty impressive. In February 2024, we also shared fan remakes of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and GTA 3, as well as an Uncharted fan game. We also have a fan remaster of Unreal Gold in UE5. You should also watch the full-on remake video for Final Fantasy 9, and this HD-2D Fan Remake for Xenogears.

Need for Speed Carbon and Tony Hawk’s Underground have also received some cool remakes. Oh, and there is a fan remake of Tomb Raider The Last Revelation, featuring Angelina Jolie and Christoph Walz. And if that’s not enough, there are fan remakes for Star Wars: Republic CommandoDeath StrandingFallout 4The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s SolitudeGrand Theft Auto 4Need for Speed: Most WantedFallout 4Resident Evil 1Skyrim’s Winterhold and Silent Hill 3’s Lakeside Amusement Park. There is also this Studio Ghibli-like teaser for Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5. So, lots of UE5 fan remakes, right? Well, since they’re all really cool, we suggest giving them a watch.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. so many games have been wasted i mean they look bad because they decided to use their in house ugly engines .look how cool this game couldve been . wow .

  2. UE5 makes everything look samey, so this video just doesn't impress. The lack of detail in the man-made structures really hurts it most.

          1. me gay? i would rather hang myself ! why are you calling me a terrorist??? now now ! BAD GIRL or whatever you are

    1. That's every UE game since the third version (with exceptions like everything, that's why art design is so important)

        1. Prepare to be deported Juan! Bring me some fun cheap drugs from across the border once you come visit your black American boyfriend.

  3. So far, TOP 3 of the most overrated turds of the 2020s:

    1) Elden Ring (nobody likes Souls-like gameplay, sorry)
    2) Baldur's Gate 3 (LGBT woke s***)
    3) Disco Elysium (satanic-communist woke s***)

    1. You didn't even play Disco Elysium, if you did you'd know that you don't have to be an ultra-liberal communist, as you can role play as a die-hard nationalist or a straight-up anarachist. So yes, the game does let you basically role play a Trump support, that's why it's effing brilliant.

      1. no one should have to deal with political mental ilness or what other like to do in the bedroom , really don't want to know .

  4. While this is incredibly impressive from a technical standpoint, the crazy thing is that it barely looks better than a fully-decked out elden ring at maximum settings with RT enabled. The only real differences I'm noticing are slightly better volumetric fog effects, as well as better LOD — especially in regards to the close up terrain. But aside from those 2 minor things, the game looks 90% identical.

That said, this is really more of a Kudos to the modder in general, that he did such a great job translating the game's assets manually to UE5 — So many UE5 fan projects simply look off and don't do proper justice to the source material, and end up looking like a hodgepodge of UE5 stock game assets poorly modified to match the world and tone of the original game.
