Square Enix has released a new trailer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider in which game director Daniel Chayer-Bisson introduces an all-new gameplay clip, highlighting how Lara will become one with the jungle to survive and stop a Maya apocalypse.
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. In this trailer, Lara is outgunned and outnumbered and must use everything she’s learned from the brutal environment against Trinity.
Lara can craft molotovs, can craft outfits and upgrade weapons, can use FEAR ARROWS so that she can turn her enemies on each other, can use bottles and arrows to distract enemies, can cover herself with mud in order to stay stealthy, and can use explosive objects.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be released on September 14th!

i dont see a jump in graphics at all compared to rise of the tomb raider…i mean just look at uncharted 4 it makes this and rise of the tomb raider look like something from a previous gen console! they could at least try the animations still feel unnatural and unconnected to the environment, there is some nice effects here and here but well when we see the competition…well its just subpar.
and i know graphics is not everything but at least they could had polished the animations it feels like they did a copy paste from ROTR.
I don’t know if Square Enix is putting their full effort into the IP anymore. In an interview with SE President Matsuda about 9 months ago he said that Tomb Raider 2013 had sold around 11 million copies and Rise of the Tomb Raider had only sold 7 million units.
7 million units seems like plenty to make a good profit but maybe SE doesn’t think so. He said that the IP is one of most important for the company but its success was not at the scale they expected and Rise of the Tomb Raider failed to reach the expectations of Square Enix.
btw @KIM he said that over half of those 11 million sales for TR 2013 were on PC. I guess we’re not all pirates after all.
“i dont see a jump in graphics at all compared to rise of the tomb raider…”
I’m seeing plenty of improvements. Can’t expect more, since it’s the same console generation.
“i mean just look at uncharted 4 it makes this and rise of the tomb raider look like something from a previous gen console!
No it doesn’t. Uncharted 4 looks great and does some things better, but this game looks like one of the prettiest games from this gen.
“Body here, looks recent”
I lol’d at that one…the soldier literally chatted with his mate 5 secs b4! 😀
show traps damn it.
assassian’s creed: tomb raider 🙁
