Devolver and Croteam have released a new gameplay trailer for Serious Sam 4. This gameplay trailer features an updated version of the Grand Cathedral OST from Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, so make sure to watch it if you are die-hard Serious Sam fans.
Serious Sam 4 promises to reignite the classic FPS series in a high-powered prequel. Moreover, it will have an explosive arsenal, intergalactic carnage, and perfectly timed one-liners. According to the developers, the classic Serious Sam formula is revamped by putting an unstoppable arsenal up against an unimaginable number of enemies that requires players to circle-strafe and backpedal-blast their way out of impossible situations.
Players will fight their way through unbelievable numbers of Mental’s minions. These include the iconic Headless Kamikaze, Beheaded Rocketeer, Kleer, Scrapjack, Werebull, and Khnum. Players will also square off against brand new enemies and towering monsters like the frantic Processed, repulsive Belcher, the hard-hitting Zealot, and more.
The game will support both solo and 4-player online co-op modes. Furthermore, it will pack a new Legion System.
Serious Sam 4 is coming to the PC in August 2020.
Enjoy!

Wish if they delay the game a year or two to update the shiity graphics.
no? is not a big jump, but have is improvement
Is it still going to have split screen?
I don’t see anything wrong with this game. It’s just that Serious Sam has lost its charm…the devs will need to bring something new to win over the fans like Doom 2016 did.
is that a mancubus?
No.
liar
“”no””. short answer: yes.
Blood and fire effects are oversimplified, music recycled…
If I can lock it to 144 FPS, I’m fine with that.
Looks like stupid fun. I’ll grab this once it hits 10 bucks somewhere.
I was super exited about the game but it looks like sh*t. I’m sure the gameplay is good but the shooting looks boring as f*k.
Go watch The Last of Us II movie.
Is it just me, or the graphics and the environments look similar to Serious Sam: BFE ??
Though, I think the team is using the latest version of Serious Engine, version 4.0 ??

Yep, its SE 4.0
To me graphics look definitely better than in SS:BFE, and the environments look like somewhere in Europe, Italy maybe.
As for the gameplay, I just hope they don’t implement too many changes. Serious Sam should remain Serious Sam, plenty of action, big guns and stupid fun.
Yup, the gameplay looks like the same old-school serious sam formula with hordes of enemies in each level.
They won’t change the Gameplay imo.
yea, its Rome
I’ve always though their games always looked similar. They get sharper and smoother each time, but that graphics team definitely seems to have a flavor to them. Lots of re-used assets explains a lot of it (which is fine with a niche title like this).
Looks good, more like the older (better) SS games. Looking forward to playing a game that focuses on being fun over cinematics and presentation.
Looking forward to this!
Im not sure why ppl keep sayin it looks exactly the same as SS:BFE…its not huge leap forward visually, but it’s definitely better looking IMHO. The problem is bcoz the environments/lighting is similar and so it looks “samey”.
