Phantom Blade Zero feature-2

Phantom Blade Zero Gets 18-Minute Deep Dive Gameplay Video

Sony held a State of Play event for Phantom Blade Zero and presented a new 18-minute gameplay video for it. In this video, game director Soulframe and creative consultant Donnie Yen take us deeper into the story, the Wulin, and the game’s combat systems.

Phantom Blade Zero is an action RPG, inspired by Devil May Cry and Sekiro, and powered by Unreal Engine 5. This won’t be another Souls-like game. This is crucial to note, as initially, a lot thought this would be another Dark Souls clone. According to the devs, it won’t be.

In this game, players assume the role of Soul. Framed for murdering his master, Soul suffers a devastating wound to the heart, leaving him just sixty-six days to live. Alone and hunted, he roams the Wulin, determined to unravel a conspiracy that has ensnared the martial world.

Players will explore the mysterious Phantom World, where shifting light and shadow conceal mysteries at every turn. Every secret will lead to another, and every corner hides a new story. The game will also have hidden passages and intricate mechanisms that await those who dare to explore.

You will have access to more than 30 primary weapons and over 20 unique Phantom Edges. Inspired by traditional martial arts, the combat system will let you link smooth combos with ease. You can dodge, deflect, counter, and attack in one fluid flow. Combat aims to be easy to learn but will also offer plenty of depth for players who want to master it.

S-Game plans to release Phantom Blade Zero on October 29. As we’ve already reported, the game will also be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Furthermore, the game will support Path Tracing on PC. Finally, you can find here its official PC system requirements.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
