Square Enix and People Can Fly have released the official story trailer for their upcoming co-op shooter, Outriders. In this trailer, we get to learn more about the game’s story. Furthermore, it gives us a look at some new environments.
Outriders is a 1-3 player, drop-in-drop-out, co-op shooter, set in an original dark and desperate sci-fi universe. The game promises to be a dark modern third-person shooter with a strong story.
In Outriders, players will create their own Outrider and embark on a journey across a hostile planet. The game also promises to feature rich storytelling with a diverse world. Thus, players will leave behind the slums and shanty towns of the First City and traverse forests, mountains and deserts in pursuit of a mysterious signal.
Additionally, Outriders aims to combine intense gunplay with violent powers, along with an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets.
The game targets a Holiday 2020 release, and will come out on both current-gen and next-gen platforms. Furthermore, and as we’ve already reported, none of the creatives behind the old People Can Fly games is there anymore. It’s also worth noting that earlier this month, Square Enix revealed some new details about the game’s campaign mode.
