IGN has shared a new gameplay trailer for STALKER 2. This trailer will give you a glimpse at the game’s weapons and ammo types, as well as its gun attachments and upgrades. So, go ahead and take a look at it.
STALKER 2 will be using Unreal Engine 5 and promises to feature incredible graphics. Back in June 2021, the team also shared the game’s preliminary PC requirements. For those wondering, the team has not updated these PC specs yet. And, since they are from 2021, they are not THAT accurate.
According to its Steam store page, the game may not have Denuvo. So, that’s good news for those who boycott games using it. Unless the devs add it at the last minute. This happened in some games recently. So, let’s hope that GSC GameWorld won’t pull an NBA 2K25 on us.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl promises to have a huge, realistic world to explore. You’ll get to wander around a massive 64-square-kilometer radioactive zone. This zone will be filled with all kinds of post-apocalyptic environments. Not only that but players will get to decide how their story unfolds. Additionally, the devs claim that the game will have a highly branching epic story.
STALKER 2 will have a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system. The game also promises to have an advanced AI, and a life-simulating system “A-life 2.0”. Furthermore, there will be modding support, as well as a multiplayer mode (which will be added soon after release as a free update).
GSC GameWorld will release STALKER 2 on November 20th.

Trying to finish up Veilguard and Metaphor before this comes out. It looks really good and I'm glad to have an experience like this being more accessible and readily playable on modern hardware. I just kinda feel sad I have a friend who has convinced himself that the game will be bad because of modern politics.

sure it gonna be a great experience, when its patched and optimized in a few months or many or never, anyone who thinks this wont be a disaster cyberpunk 2077 style, despite its development issues with war and everything is delusional.

I’ve been friends with the guy for years now and before ME Legacy came out the only things he player were Fallout mods and Stalker mods. We still play cod together but its kind of sad to see him lose interest over nothing tangible.
Maybe he lost interest because of age. Wokeness is just an excuse, you can block it out/skip scenes and so forth. Besides, the minute you start paying attention to so called "politics" you know you're not a kid anymore. So either way, guy grew up.

The only potential "modern politics" cringe I've seen from Stalker 2 is "we won't be spelling place names the Russian way anymore, it's no longer Chernobyl and Kiev". Which is fair enough, they're Ukranians making a game based in Ukraine. Using their dialect's spelling is fair enough.

You know its actually not nearly as prevalent as social media posts make it seem. You can adjust the party banter frequency and some of the lesser posted companions are actually pretty cool.

Hmmm, once and again these trailers make me miss the original STALKER.
This doesn't have the Stalker look and feel, the colors and overall image look very UE.
The sunset looks so soaked in red warm light, the night too rich blue/purple and contrasty, there's too much deep green foliage instead of dry dirt patches, EVERYTHING looks like it has just been wiped clean with a wet cloth. No dust. Everything even decayed surfaces, fresh clean. Even wood looks mossy and bloated by humidity.
It's not that dry and crude Ukraine/Russia look and feel… I need THAT.
