New Resident Evil Village gameplay footage surfaces

GameInformer has released a new video with new gameplay footage from Resident Evil Village. This video gives us an exclusive look at the game’s upgrade system.

Resident Evil Village will be using the RE Engine, and promises to elevate the survival horror experience to new heights. Set a few years after Resident Evil 7, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location.

The first-person action in Resident Evil Village begins when players assume the role of a distraught and shattered Ethan. Ethan seeks to uncover the mysterious new horrors that plague a once peaceful village. Throughout this terrifying journey, players will fight for every breath as they face vicious new enemies.

As AMD revealed last month, Resident Evil Village will officially support Ray Tracing on PC. Furthermore, here are the game’s official PC system requirements.

Resident Evil Village will release on May 7th!

  1. The most terrifying thing is that hideously low console FOV. I don’t remember if RE7 had the option but one would hope you can increase that on the PC version.

    1. i think but im not sure but at pc launch it didnt and was officially added in a patch and then it was a slight slider. but for what 7 waas, a smaller fov works better fr it as the corridors are small and al action happens directly in front. with to big a fov it would be laughable. it was obviously pushing consonels at the time with such “fidelity and 3d captured meme whatever textures”

    2. That and the depth of field on the gun. Seriously, one day I’d like to meet someone who actually likes that blurry effect so I could punch that person in the face

      1. “That and the depth of field on the gun”yet theres like no shadows or dof when the were wolf jump scares ethan and tackles him to the ground? it was off putting as no joke 2:14 and 2:36 around there is a joke. also im not gonna rewatch it but the animal hunting section they dont or rarely cast shadows…. no one noticed its so flat? theres no shadows, ambience? its walls(WITH NO LIGHTING OR INTERACTIVITY) , open area with no lighting but the sky box and nothing else. IM SURE IT WILL BE FUN BUT THIS IS GRAPHICS WORSE THAN CRYSIS 3 ALMOST 8 YEARS OR A DECADE LATER!

        1. that and the aiming as well hold down to aim, zoomed in but now much, found it hard to aim at moving enemies at close range, put ironsights in the game damn it.

      2. I genuinely do
the hand physics, the lighting and the DOF alone was immersive enough for me to play through RE7 twice

    3. Most console FPS are like that and no they don’t have an FOV slider. Far Cry 5 on Xbox One X used a narrow FOV just so that they could get a native 4k image.

  2. hunting animals to upgrade your shet in a resident evil game. why the fck are they polluting a perfectly fine game with western grind mechanics.

      1. it’s different. I’m not talking about the type of grind that exists in autistic korean mmorpgs, I’m talking about farcry 3 type of grind.

  3. why does everything need to have a crafting system and animals to hunt for crafting resources? Also i am not the only one who had hard time aiming in this game, you can see him missing while trying to shoot moving targets, this wasnt a problem in the dlc that you play as chris and he aims down the sight, why dont they just have a ironsight aiming in this game i dont get it? Also why are they remaking re4 when this is basically a reimagining of it?

Questions, lots of questions i know but good ones.

  4. “:And in RE gothic horror doesn’t work,”
am sorry are we gonna pretend that re4, 5 and 6 worked? Or 7? None of it made any sense.

  5. Fu..king Ethan not Leon, Chris, Barry, Jill etc. but fu..king Ethan the worse character ever in the series.
