MindsEye feature-3

MindsEye Gets Official Gameplay Overview Trailer

Build A Rocket Boy has released the official gameplay overview trailer for MindsEye. MindsEye is a new single-player action-adventure thriller that focuses on story, mystery, and high-stakes missions. This trailer packs 6 minutes of gameplay footage from it. So, make sure to watch it.

In MindsEye, players step into the shoes of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a troubled past. Jacob has a strange neural implant in his brain, and he’s dealing with memory loss and disturbing flashbacks. As the story unfolds, Jacob must go on dangerous missions to uncover what really happened to him and who he truly is.

The world of MindsEye is dark and full of threats. You’ll come across advanced robots, crazy science experiments, sneaky companies, corrupt leaders, and even a massive army with no master. It will be a mix of sci-fi action and suspense, with a strong focus on storytelling.

MindsEye feels like a mix of Watch_Dogs and GTA. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as it’s being led by former Rockstar Games producer, Leslie Benzies. However, this will be a double-A game, and not a triple-A title. So, don’t expect it to be as polished as GTA 4 or 5.

The over-the-shoulder shooting seems fine. It will not blow you away, but then again, it appears to be fine. However, the enemy AI is all over the place. It’s really bad. I mean, take a look at the trailer. There are a lot of enemies on screen that cannot land a shot on you. Even Stormtroopers have better aiming than them.

A few days ago, a couple of previews hit the Internet. And, according to them, the game is currently in a really rough state. Thus, I highly recommend waiting for some reviews. Do not pre-order it. Then again, you shouldn’t pre-order any game, no matter what.

IO Interactive Partners will release MindsEye on June 10th. The fact that we just received a proper gameplay trailer for it feels fishy. Still, this isn’t a new “The Day Before“. This is a real game. However, it remains to be seen whether it will be worth it or not. Will it surprise gamers? Or will it be another “La Quimera“?

Last week, the devs shared the game’s PC requirements. According to them, you’ll at least need an Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The game will also require 70GB of free disk space, and it will be using the DX12 API.

Stay tuned for more!
