YouTube’s ‘Benoit Bourgerie’ has shared a video in which he recreated the Clocktown and the Termina field from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in Unreal Engine 5. This project took the artist almost a year to complete. So, if you are a Zelda fan, you should definitely watch it.
Now, what’s cool here is that this fan remake has managed to retain the cartoon-ish style of the game. Instead of opting for a more realistic look, this project has a similar art style to the original Majora’s Mask. In other words, it has better aesthetics than the fan remakes of Ocarina of Time from CryZENx. So, this should please a lot of Zelda fans.
Keep in mind, this project was made just for the artist’s portfolio. That means you can’t download or play it on your own PC. That’s a bit disappointing. Still, it’s a really cool video that will likely make most Zelda fans smile.
In a way, it reminds me of the Zelda and Donkey Kong games for Nintendo Switch. It has those vibrant colors of those games. Or at least that’s the vibes I got from it. So, if Nintendo ever remakes Majora’s Mask using Unreal Engine 5, it could look something like this.
Speaking of Unreal Engine 5, you should also check out the following fan projects. For instance, you can find some faithful remasters of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3, which are super cool. A few months ago, we also shared an amazing remake of Toy Story 2. Then there’s this cool fan remake of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Let’s also not forget this fantastic fan remake of STALKER that’s worth a look. Oh, and don’t miss the Grand Theft Auto 6 fan concept in UE5; it’s pretty impressive. In February 2024, we also shared fan remakes of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and GTA 3, as well as an Uncharted fan game. We also have a remaster of Unreal Gold and a cool fan remake of Doom 3. You should also watch the full-on remake video for Final Fantasy 9, and this HD-2D Fan Remake for Xenogears.
Need for Speed Carbon and Tony Hawk’s Underground also have some awesome fan remakes. There’s even a fan remake of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation that features Angelina Jolie and Christoph Waltz. But that’s not all. Fans have also made remakes for Star Wars: Republic Commando, Death Stranding, Fallout 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Fallout 4, Resident Evil 1, and Silent Hill 3’s Lakeside Amusement Park. And if you love Zelda, there’s a really cool Studio Ghibli-style teaser for Ocarina of Time made in Unreal Engine 5. Oh, and there’s a video showing MGS2’s iconic intro in UE5.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

Kudos to the artist for putting in the work, but using UE5 for this more or less kills the unique art style and just makes it look like yet another Fortnite map.

What does Nintendo have to do with Jews? And even if it did why is that bad? I presume you must have suffered some sort of brain injury and sorry if that is the case. Chin up, life goes on.
