Far Cry 6 gets an E3 2021 Trailer, focusing on Anton Castillo

Ubisoft has released the E3 2021 in-engine cinematic trailer for Far Cry 6. This trailer focuses on Anton Castillo who will be the dictator of Yara and is played by Giancarlo Esposito.

In Far Cry 6, players are immersed in the adrenaline-filled, chaotic world of a modern-day guerrilla revolution. The game will take place in Yara; a tropical paradise frozen in time. As dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means, with his son, Diego, following in his bloody footsteps.

Players will assume the role of Dani Rojas; a local Yaran who will become a guerrilla fighter in order to liberate the nation.

Far Cry 6 promises to have the largest Far Cry playground to date. The game will have jungles, beaches and the capital city of Yara.

Players will jump into the action and chaos of guerrilla combat at the heart of a revolution. Players will also employ an arsenal of unique and surprising new weapons, vehicles, and animal companions in a fight against an unyielding military regime.

Lastly, Far Cry 6 will support Ray Tracing Shadows & Variable Rate Shading on the PC. Oh, and you can find here the game’s official reveal gameplay trailer.

Enjoy!

  1. mhh, i’m not an english native speaker but shouldn’t it be called “an ubisoft original” instead of “a ubisoft original” in the trailer? just curious…

      1. They pronounce it U not yu though. So it reads Ubisoft not YUbisoft but I’ve heard it both ways

  2. sigh, this fascination with turning videogames into overexpensive hard to produce mediocre Hollywood movies with excessive swearing and uncanny valley dead eyes 3d models that break all the immersion that might have remained is really killing me.

  3. Given how good he was as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, I have high hopes for the villain in this one.

I wish they’d expand on the Far Cry formula a bit more, it’s pretty repetitive.

  4. It’s impressive how every major IP Ubisoft owns turns into a formulaic snoozefest. Now add a “famous actor” as a focus on your advertising, that went well for Cyberpunk too.

  5. I’ll get your point but that’s not a graphics comparison, more like a model comparison. You can design a 3d ugly girl with more polygons, shaders, high res textures and all that, provided that’s the intended outcome.

  6. What’s with the japanese (?) characters below the name Far Cry 6? Is this supposed to place on a asiatic country? Cause it sure doesn’t look like one.

      1. I’m not sure how’s that supposed to appeal to China. And the game is about a revolution against the kind of government that would appeal to China (and to me).

        1. Dunno, why there’s Far Cry 6 in chinese or whatever that is under?
Are you sure about that? so far, in the footage ive seen they are portraying the dictator as an antihero. Or maybe im nuts and they are making another same ol Far Cry insane villain.
I not a fan on how Ubisoft romanticizes revolutions tbh, but they are french after all so who cares, is a videogame.

          1. “Dunno, why there’s Far Cry 6 in chinese or whatever that is under?”

Yeah, that was my original question (i said japanese, but i don’t have a clue since i’m illiterate on these languages). If they where really trying to appeal to chinese they would make characters asiatic for starters, not brown/latino.

  7. Same sh*t with Outriders or even Mass Effect Andromeda: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/33febdd8ba28ef7b2b2040a433944f68b3d8dc63a6c66992d594466759a8c905.jpg

The Inversion Agenda – Point N°5: “Beauty is Ugly”

Beauty is a form of genetic privilege. Beautiful people were given immense physical advantages because their ancestors leveraged their own ill-gotten advantages to breed in a superior manner. The same goes for beautiful art, architecture, and clothing.

[…] This inversion will be the most difficult to execute because humans have a strong instinctual craving for beauty, but I believe the elites will still succeed as long as the promotion of ugliness coincides with financial benefits and status. Understand that humans can be convinced of anything through persistence and the use of incentives.

  8. Why didn’t DSO post that cringy gay dance sh*t trailer here? LOL
Man it would be a riot to see the comments. Oh man … fu**ing Ubicrap *smh

Edit : Okay … so you can’t mention jo*n or it’ll be pending to be approved … hmm…

    1. Disqus caught all of your comments for some reason, I’ve approved this one (and obviously deleted the duplicate ones).

  9. Why didn’t John post that cringy ULTRA g-a-a-y dance sh*t trailer here? LOL
Man it would be a riot to see the comments. Oh man … fu**ing Ubicrap *smh

Edit : Hmm … it seems g-a-a-y is now a no no word here and I thought there’s no censorship here

  10. that cover art is so pederasty it’s creepy. More jubisoft trash incoming. FYI china and cuba both went through a hexagram marxist slaughter and both are still in that cage today. Castro=cryptoj, and some say mao was also a cryptoj, they come in all ethnicities and in all countries. Poland has a crypoj president whom many ignorant think is catholic. Most likely the whole chinese commie leadership is infested with crypto hexagrams for a long time, north korean leadership is most likely also cryptos like many many countries regardless of stage names and appearances dig deeper.
