Far Cry 5 feature 2

Far Cry 5 – “Mayhem in the Mountains” trailer packs 3 minutes of new gameplay footage

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Far Cry 5, featuring 3 minutes of new gameplay footage. This trailer shows a new region of Hope County: the Whitetail Mountains, a rugged land of trees, ziplines, and tons of opportunities to snipe cultists and blow stuff up.

As the press release reads, Montana’s mountain country is a paradise for stealthy players, with plenty of forests to hide in and wingsuit-friendly cliffs for getting the drop on enemies, and it’s home to some of the toughest people you’ll meet in Far Cry 5.

Far Cry 5 releases on March 27th and promises to feature the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. The game will also take advantage of Rapid Packed Math which will allow a graphics card to execute two math instructions for the price of one, and it will support online co-op right after the first in-game tutorial.

Far Cry 5 will also be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. We don’t know, however, whether it will have VMProtect over Denuvo like Assassin’s Creed: Origin.

Enjoy!

    1. Yeah, I really hope this is the last one before they evolve the series. Far Cry and Elder Scrolls/Fallout really need to take their stuff to the next level already.

      1. While I don’t disagree with you I don’t think Ubisoft plans to steer too far from what has made them so much money in the past. The thing is with Publishers of games like Far Cry, ES, GTA, COD etc is that there is little reason to offer much of a different experience in the next game. They sell massive amounts of games sticking to the past formula.

I remember reading an article years ago that said that Activision actually has a master checklist for COD games and as the game is developed each item on the list is checked off. Now, I don’t know if that is true but I don’t doubt it. I don’t play very many COD games but it’s common to hear from gamers that do that Activision is just selling the same game over and over with COD.

      2. I at least hope Elder scrolls gets a graphics engine update, If they leave it much longer it’s going to look like Pac-Man compared to other games.

    2. Damn I think they should stop making Far Cry and go back to the drawing board. It looks like the same sh*t over and over again.

At least in Orgins they changed the gameplay and made it more RPGish. Though I still think they should’ve went all in and added the ability for the player to make a choice on how a quest ends or goes.

    1. There is an ability in orgins where u can control an arrow in midair. Literally an ability designed for controllers lmao.

  1. Far Cry Primal has a good setting, Far Cry 4 also. This looks like a kiddy sandbox! 🙁
    Hoping for the next one
