Now that’s what I call a great short film. TF 2: Sentry Saboteur sports great acting, awesome effects, nice music and stays true to the game. Lost Squad is a Half-Life 2 modification that looks quite interesting. The mod is developed by DmitRex Corporation and its third teaser trailer has just been released. This new teaser showcases some of the game’s destruction and you must check it out. Lost Squad is currently slated for a 2012 release and promises to feature Dynamic Destruction Environment (the modder claims that everything will be desctructible), Co-op mode and some new places, never before seen. Valve has just announced that DOTA 2 will be publicly playable at this year’s GamesCom and that there will be an international tournament for it. The International will feature the 16 best Dota teams in the world competing in the Dota 2 Championships through a group stage, double elimination playoff format over the course of Cologne’s five-day trade show (August 17th – 21st) and it will be broadcast in four languages (Chinese, German, Russian, and English) free of charge. In the past we’ve seen some amazing fan-made films that were based on videogames – and particularly on Half-Life 2. Singularity Collapse is one of them and perhaps the best we’ve ever seen so far. Contrary to all other fan-made movies, this one is shot completely in the first-person perspective and features some amazing effects. Don’t expect to see Gordon Freeman though, as the movie is based on City 17’s rebel forces. Oh and that buggy scene looks great. Be sure to check it out after the jump.
