Half Life 3 Is Spotted In Gamescom 2012 Product List [UPDATE]

A new rumor arose a few minutes ago, suggesting that Half Life 3 might be unveiled during this year’s Gamescom. T3 spotted Half Life 3 in Gamescom 2012’s product list and you can see it for yourself here. And get this – the source of this rumor comes from the games show’s official website. Obviously, this might be a mistake as Dragon Age 3 is also present in that list. But then again, could this DA3 entry mean a possible teaser trailer at EA’s conference? And what if Half Life 3 is indeed present at this year’s Gamescom? Black Mesa: Source Leaked Footage Has Been Taken Down, New Proper Footage To Be Unveiled Shortly

Remember that leaked gameplay footage of Black Mesa: Source? Well, as you can see the video has been taken down. According to the team, they were always intending to release a video, and this was an early cut that wasn’t meant to be posted. However, the team strongly feels that it should be on their own terms; it shouldn’t be a way for an unrelated third-party to drum up their own publicity. Obviously the team is speaking about ValveTime, as rumor has it that they didn’t discuss with the Black Mesa team the terms for releasing that video. Classic ‘The Matrix’ Scene Recreated In Source Filmmaker

As we’ve said and before, we love Source’s Filmmaker. After recreating Batman’s trailers and Austin Powers, PC gamers decided to recreate a scene from The Matrix. It’s a classic scene where Neo causes havoc with a minigun on a helicopter and Morpheus escapes the Agents. In all honesty, we’d love to see the entire movie recreated in SFM. Kudos to YouTube’s member ‘LiveCurious95’ for attempting something like that. Alongside this movie remake, you can find below a recreation of the Falcon Punch, as well as the Austin Powers remake. The war against Microsoft’s latest OS is going strong. A couple of days ago, Gabe Newell revealed that Windows 8 would be a catastrophe for game makers. Gabe believes that they (Valve) will lose some of the top-tier PC/OEMs, who will exit the market, and that margins will be destroyed for a bunch of people. And that’s precisely why Valve is currently investing in Linux. But Newell is not the only one believing that Windows 8 will damage game developers.
