Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [January 1st- 7th]

Now that’s really surprising. The latest UK PC retail charts have just been issued and to our surprise, there is no change at all with the previous ones. As you may remember, some although the Top 10 PC retail chart was the same several weeks ago, there was a subtle change in various positions as some games gained places, while others lost. However, this is not the case this time as the first week of 2012 is the same, in every way, with the last one of 2011. The latest UK PC Charts have just been released and as we can see, Football Manager 2012 has managed to reclaim its throne. SEGA’s football manager is once again the best selling PC retail title in England, followed by last week’s king, Star Wars: The Old Republic. And it finally has been de-throned. SEGA’s football management game is not currently the best selling PC game in the UK. Oh no, as that title goes to EA Games’ and BioWare’s Star Wars MMO game, Star Wars: The Old Republic. Apart from this, we can’t notice any significant change in the UK Retail Top10. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations didn’t manage to keep its place last week and was replaced by Blizzard’s MMO, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. It appears that a lot of PC gamers love soccer games, as Football Manager 2012 is still at the top place of the retail UK PC charts. Followed by Skyrim, FM2012 proves that there is a huge market for manager games. Well, at least if there is a good one as EA’s attempt is nowhere to be found. Although Battlefield 3 gained some places last week, it is behind Modern Warfare 3. On the other hand, both Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Batman: Arkham City lost four and two places, respectively. Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [November 20th – 26th]

And it has been topped. Although Bethesda’s RPG is selling extremely well, it has been topped in the UK Retail Charts and Football Manager 2012 has reclaimed its throne. There were a few users some months ago that were wondering if such titles were selling to justify their existence. Well, as you can see everyone, not only they sell but they are big hits since they managed to top both The Sims series and Skyrim. Apart from this, the chart is similar to last week’s with one big difference. Batman: Arkham City’s PC version is finally out and has managed to climb immediately at the fourth place. Kudos to Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Continue reading Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [November 20th – 26th]

Weekly Top 10 PC Charts; UK PC Retail and Steam Digital Charts [November 13th-19th]; Nothing can top Skyrim

Although Modern Warfare 3 managed to top everything in consoles, it still couldn’t beat Bethesda’s RPG in both the Steam and the UK PC Retail charts. Not only that, but Football Manager 2012 has managed to surpass Activision’s shooter, proving how successful this soccer manager truly is. THQ’s third person sandbox has also managed to enter the Top10, alongside with Bluebyte’s strategy and Black Box’s arcade racing game. Well, it was to be expected. Skyrim has managed to top every PC game and it’s rightfully at the first place of both the UK retail and Steam digital charts. Coming behind it is Activision’s Modern Warfare 3. Although the MW3 has managed to surpass BF3 retail sales, we can see from the games’ stats that BF3 has a bigger fanbase. It will definitely be interesting to see how this battle will conclude. Rockstar’s L.A. Noire is on the fourth and last place of the Steam and UK Retail charts, respectively. That’s right, SEGA’s soccer manager is at the top of the UK PC retail charts yet again. What really caught our attention though was the return of EIDOS’ Human Revolution, as it gained nine whole places. Damn, now that’s impressive. Blizzard’s MMO can also be spotted at the sixth place, proving that this massive MMORPG still has some life left in it.
