Bethesda has officially revealed the sequel to The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2. In The Evil Within 2 you take the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos who is given a chance to save his daughter. Players must enter a world filled with nightmares and discover the dark origins of a once-idyllic town to bring her back. The Evil Within Can Look Pretty Great with Advanced Post-Processing Injector “Reshade”

Our reader ‘k- man’ has shared with us some screenshots from The Evil Within. k- man used various effects of Reshade in order to give the game a better look, thus proving that such tools can really make a visual difference. In case you weren’t aware of, Crosire’s ReShade is an advanced, fully generic post-processing injector, a graphics modification for games or alike. The Evil Within Gets Free Halloween Demo

To be honest, we didn’t see this coming. Bethesda and Tango Gameworks decided to surprise everyone and offer a free demo for The Evil Within. This demo packs  the first three chapters from the game, and those who choose to purchase the game after the first three chapters will be able to continue their save progress. The Evil Within – New Update Adds 60FPS Cap Option & Letterbox Setting

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have released a new update for the PC version of The Evil Within. According to its changelog, this update adds a 60FPS cap option for those able to push such framerates, adds a Letterbox setting via which players can disable the letterbox “black bars” in the game settings, and fixes gameplay issues when running at >30 FPS. The Evil Within – Proper “FOV & Black Bars” Fix Released By Community

Even though Bethesda has revealed a command console via which players can force The Evil Within running at full-screen mode (without black bars), this particular tweak comes with a really messed up FOV. In all honesty, the default fix feels ‘cheap’ as it – more or less – places the camera closer to the main protagonist.
