New Project CARS Build 169 comes with 5 New Tracks

Great news for racing sim fans, as Slightly Mad Studios released a new weekly build of their WMD-powered Project CARS title, giving all members with Team Member status and above lots of new content to enjoy. This new build comes with five new tracks, meaning that the next community screenshots will be quite interesting. You can view the complete details of this new build after the jump. New Project CARS Build comes with better lighting and a day-night cycle

As promised, Slightly Mad Studios released a new build for Project CARS. This new build comes with a better lighting system, as well as a day-night cycle. There obviously some issues with it but the company promises to fix all of them and tweak the game’s weather. In the coming weeks, Slightly Mad Studios will add in Rain particles, splashes, windscreens effects (need wipers), add in Code to make tracks “wet” and reflective, introduce drying on Racing lines, and bring localised weather to the game’s stages. Project CARS Details – Incoming 24 hour racing, day-night cycle confirmed

Slightly Mad Studios has revealed some interesting details about the upcoming features of Project CARS. According to the developers, 24 hour racing will be featured in it, as well as day-night cycle and mixed class racing. In addition, the team has added hands to the cockpit views and a new camera functionality to the latest build for screenshot purposes. As promised, Slightly Mad Studios is also working on replacing some of the game’s assets (like the trees) and on tweaking the tire physics. So, you’ve seen the latest build of Project CARS in shots but have you wondered how does it look in motion? Well, time to find out as Project CARS member BSNismo has uploaded a video from it. We’ve featured BSNismo’s videos in the past and contrary to most of them, this time it’s not a montage video. Slightly Mad Studios has released a new build for Project CARS and – naturally – its community has captured some amazing shots from it. It’s really hard to believe that the following shots are actually in-game visuals and not some photoshopped images. What’s even more interesting is that Project CARS is still in pre-alpha stage.
