Resident Evil HD Remaster – PC System Requirements Revealed

The official PC requirements for Resident Evil HD Remaster have been revealed via the game’s Steam page. As expected, PC gamers will not need a high-end system in order to enjoy this title (though we do have to wonder why there are reports of frame drops on current-gen consoles). Capcom recommends a quad-core CPU with 4GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 560 or an AMD Radeon HD 6950 in order to enjoy the game (it’s somehow laughable that a 720p resolution monitor is listed as a recommended requirement though). Resident Evil Remake – Release Date + New Screenshots + First PC Gameplay Footage

Capcom has announced that its HD remake of Resident Evil is coming to the PC on January 20th. The PC version will sport frame rate options, and will contain fully remastered sound effects with 5.1 surround support, as well as the ability to switch between 4:3 ratio or 16:9 widescreen mode at any given time. Furthermore, Capcom has released a new set of screenshots from the current-gen version of the game that can be viewed below, as well as the first PC gameplay footage. Enjoy! Capcom has released a new set of screenshots from the current-gen version of Resident Evil Remake. Resident Evil Remake is coming in early 2015, will be fully remastered with 5.1 surround support for a greater gaming atmosphere, and will offer two control schemes (classic control scheme for die-hard fans as well as an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick). Resident Evil – New Remaster Versus Wii Comparison Shows Graphical Differences

Resident Evil Remaster is coming in early 2015 on PC, current-gen and old-gen consoles. And while Capcom has only revealed screenshots from the old-gen version, NeoGAF member ‘Sectus‘ has captured a number of Wii screenshots from the first remake of Resident Evil in order to compare them with the new, upcoming HD overhaul. Do note that Sectus used a Wii emulator, meaning that the IQ difference is even higher than what is being displayed below.
