Konami has released a day-one patch for the latest version of their arcade soccer game, Pro Evolution Soccer. This patch adds Facebook tie-in features and improvements to the gameplay AI. Since we got our review code of PES 2012, we decided to upload a full-length match between England and Portugal at the Top Class difficulty. The review code is exactly the same as the retail one, so don’t expect to see changes between them. As you will obviously notice, there are still some issues – the very same ones – that plague the PES series. However, it’s a fact that PES 2012 is definitely better than last year’s offering. Konami cleverly released a first demo that was based on an early preview build of PES 2012 and waited patiently for EA’s move. As their opponent’s demo is out now, the company revealed that their second demo will be released tomorrow in an attempt to overshadow EA Sports’ efforts. Konami released today a new video that showcases PES 2012’s diagonal runs. In the previous PES’, AI players failed to run into space as they were mostly running forward instead of diagonally. This issue is currently fixed in PES 2012 and this video showcases the new AI diagonal runs of PES latest version.
