Kojima Productions’ boss Hideo Kojima announced – at this afternoon’s Metal Gear 25th anniversary event at Tokyo Midtown – that Metal Gear Solid will be coming to the big screen. Avi Arad, the man behind a lot of Marvel hero movies such as Iron Man, Blade, Spider-Man 2002, and The Amazing Spider-Man, will produce this Metal Gear movie and both Sony and Columbia Pictures will back this project up. There is no doubt that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance’s original concept looked gorgeous. Yes, the game is now a hack n slash title similar to Bayonetta and has lost its initial charm, but it would be cool to play it on the PC, no? Well, it seems that Kojima Productions might bring this bad boy on our beloved platform after the release of its console versions.
