Bad news: Aliens: Colonial Marines was supposed to be released this Spring and is now delayed to Fall 2012. Good news: SEGA has released a new drooling cinematic teaser trailer for it. The game is developed by Gearbox and I’ll be honest with you; the gameplay footage that was shown last year was underwhelming and generic as hell. I don’t expect Gearbox to fix it (or get rid of the regenerated health or the scripted AI moments or the turret sections, but here is hoping). So, for now, enjoy this new trailer – courtesy of IGN! Get ready everyone as SEGA released today the full-length E3 gameplay demo walkthrough of Aliens: Colonial Marines and we can safely say that it looks great. The game also stays true to the Aliens movie and we seriously can’t wait to get our hands on it, although we were kind of disappointed with the fact that the aliens weren’t dismembered and that the acid didn’t hurt the player. I admit it, I’m excited. To be honest, words cannot describe how excited I am about Gearbox’s upcoming aliens game. We’ve been waiting for this bad boy for a long time and although the game is currently playable at GamesCom, we have some new brand screenshots for you. Aliens: Colonial Marines looks sexy, although they seemed a bit photoshopped (notice the absence of aliasing). So, lets hope that the final game will actually look this good with SSAA enabled.
