A lot of fans were a bit upset with some changes that FromSoftware did with this Remastered version and this huge video comparison (that is almost two hours) compares pretty much everything; from textures to lighting effects, weapons, item effects and more. Dark Souls Remastered gets its first HD texture pack, based on an Unreal Engine 4 fan project

Back in March, we informed you about a fan remake of Dark Souls in Unreal Engine 4. Created by Evie Shudder, this fan project recreated the Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls in Unreal Engine 4. During Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference, FromSoftware revealed its latest title, SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE. Dark Souls Overhaul Project is a huge texture overhaul pack and is now available for download

Modder ‘SageIchigo’ has released Dark Souls Overhaul Project version 4.5 for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. According to the modder, this mod changes all the textures in the game with HD versions or re-imaginings of the textures, while still trying to retain the Souls feeling. There won’t be any discount for Dark Souls Remastered PC, despite Bandai Namco’s store page indicating otherwise [UPDATE]

Dark Souls Remastered’s reveal is by far the worst we’ve seen in recent history and that’s because Bandai Namco is constantly changing crucial details about it. One of them was HDR for PS4. Initially, the publisher claimed that Sony’s console would support it but now there is no mention of such a thing. Naturally, this doesn’t really matter for us PC gamers, however, the next change that the publisher has done affects all previous owners of Dark Souls PC.
