DOOM – New Trailer Focuses On The SnapMap Editor

Bethesda has released a new trailer for id Software’s DOOM that focuses on its SnapMap Editor. The SnapMap Editor aims to offer everyone the ability to create levels that can be played on all platforms. Unfortunately, id Software won’t release any additional mod tools for DOOM. The Doom series is widely known for its openness to the modding community. After all, a mod that – perhaps – influenced id Software while creating the latest installment in the Doom series was no other than Brutal Doom. In an interview with METRO’s GameCentral, the executive producer of DOOM, Marty Stratton, revealed some new information about id Software’s upcoming shooter. According to Marty, this new DOOM game won’t take itself as seriously as Doom 3. And while some horror elements are present, the game won’t follow Doom 3’s route.
