CstDoom3 Version 2.0 released, adds Adjustable FOV, Carmack’s Reverse, Demigod Mode and more

Modder ‘fva’ has released a brand new version of the gameplay mod for Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil, CstDoom3. CstDoom3 Version 2.0 introduces HUD Aspect Correction and adds Adjustable FOV. This means that players can now adjust the Field of View using the menus. This option also repositions the weapons automatically to compensate for the FOV change. Doom Reborn, standalone remake of Doom 1 and 2 in Doom 3 Engine, now available for download

Modder ‘gamehacker’ has created a standalone version of Doom Reborn and released its pre-beta version 1.61. Doom Reborn is a total conversion of the original Doom Series, and the goal is to remake the original Doom and Doom 2 games in the idTech4 engine with new textures and new models for the original weapons and monsters, as well as with recreated and re-textured maps from these classic first-person shooters. Scared Pixel Studios has shared a new video from the latest 2018 build of its Mars City Security mod for Doom 3. Mars City Security is described as a Doom3 modification that puts heavy emphasis on cooperative and adversarial multiplayer, merging the fast and addictive gameplay of the predecessors (Doom1 & Doom2) with the enhanced Doom3 technology (optimized netcode for Online Internet & LAN networked multiplayer with improved idtech4 unified rendering). Daniel Gibson has released the final version of dhewm3. In case you weren’t aware of, dhewm 3 is a Doom 3 GPL source port, known to work on at least Windows, Linux, macOS and FreeBSD, and its goal is to bring Doom 3 with the help of SDL to all suitable platforms. Modder ‘MoDFaNGuy’ has released a new version of his Classic RBDOOM 3 BFG Edition mod, allowing players to experience this horror part in the Doom series in third-person mode. In case you weren’t aware of, Classic RBDOOM 3 BFG Edition is a mod that updates the executable of the original RBDOOM 3 BFG (used in DOOM 3 BFG Hi Def and UltimateHD) and unlocks missing features and improve the classic DOOM engine.
