Battlefield 3: Close Quarters DLC gets a new, explosive trailer

Electronic Arts and DICE have released a new, explosive trailer for Battlefield 3’s upcoming DLC. This new trailer showcases the level of destruction that is featured with the Close Quarters DLC and we have to say that we are really impressed with it. As it’s pretty obvious, these small environments gave DICE the opportunity to raise the game’s environmental damage and that’s a big plus in our books. It’s not as mind-blowing as all those PhysX titles but still, it’s really nice. Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is slated for a June 12th release. Enjoy! Battlefield 3 gets a drooling machinima movie

YouTube’s member ‘Steinmann’ created an amazing Battlefield 3 machinima movie. This movie shows off a match at the Caspian Border, between US and Russia forces. At first, you’ll tell to yourself that this is just an okay movie. After a while though, you start realising how well made it actually is. Everything is top notch, from the in-game graphics to the camera angles that have been used. In short, this is a must-see machinima movie. Enjoy! Battlefield 3 – Premium Service Details Unveiled

Guru3D’s member ‘DesGaizu’ has revealed some interesting new information about the upcoming Battlefield Premium Service for Battlefield 3. As always, take it with a grain of salt as both DICE and EA have not confirmed or denied anything about it. DICE: There will be Frostbite 2 powered games in 2013 that will require a 64-Bit OS; next-generation platforms coming in 2013?

DICE’s Rendering Architect, Johan Andersson, has revealed that we’ll get some Frostbite 2 powered games in 2013 that will require a 64-bit OS. This basically means that we’ll get games that will require more than 2GB of RAM. Fair enough, we’ve been stuck in our 32-bit OS for quite sometime. The most interesting thing about Andersson’s tweeted message though – and what others failed to realize – is that this could very well be a hint for next-generation consoles. Could the next Playstation and Xbox hit stores next year? DICE seems to believe so. Battlefield 3 – Real-Life Video makes fun of BF3’s ‘Need Ammo’ and ‘Flashlight’ Issues

You’ve definitely been in that awkward situation where you’ve been left without ammo in BF3. And, naturally, you’ve already encountered teamates that were unwilling to co-operate with you. Those newbies were not giving you any ammo and sometimes, they were even blinding you with their flashlights. Battlefield 3: Close Encounters Donya Fortress – New Screenshots & Trailer

Electronic Arts and DICE released today some new screenshots and a trailer for the Donya Fortress that will be featured in the Close Encounters DLC of Battlefield 3. This is the second gameplay trailer from the upcoming expansion pack Battlefield 3: Close Quarters and as we said, it showcases the map Donya Fortress in all its destructive glory. You can also see the new game mode Conquest Domination in action, being a mix of the tactical classic Conquest mode and the instant action gameplay featured on these tight maps. Battlefield 3 PC gets the anticipated server update; AA missiles fixed, tank armor strength tweaked

DICE and Electronic Arts have released the highly anticipated server update for the PC version of Battlefield 3. As we reported a couple of weeks ago, this update fixes the AA and TV missiles, and tweaks the tank armor strength. The update is applied automatically and you won’t have to do anything at all. Battlefield 5 – New Fan Made Live-Action Short Film

Do you remember Freddiew’s Battlefield 4 and Operation Viper live-action film for Battlefield 5? Well, time to add another live action short film to the Battlefield series. YouTube’s member ‘ThereIsaCanal’ uploaded the following short film which shows how a Battlefield game could actually look like in the future.
