Well, NeoGAF user ‘Durante‘ decided to take a look at this game and after 23 minutes, the modder figured out a way to unlock the game’s internal resolution. Namco Bandai has released a new set of screenshots and the Gamescom 2012 trailer of Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition. According to the company, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and Darks Souls: Artorias of the Abyss DLC pack include an untold chapter in the world of Lordran. Sent back to the past, discover Oolacile back when Knight Artorias still lived. Dark Souls fans, we have some good and some bad news for you. The good news first – the PC manual for Dark Souls: Prepare To Edition has been unveiled and you can read it online here. The bad news is that – according to the manual – you will be able to navigate the menu with only the directional keys. Good news for all Dark Souls fans as the game is now available for pre-purchase on Steam, priced at 39.99 euros. Be advised though – the fact that is available on Steam does not mean that it will not use Microsoft’s GFWL. Namco Bandai and FromSoftware have revealed the minimum system requirements for the PC version of Dark Souls. Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will require a dual-core CPU, 4GB of disk space and an Nvidia 8800GT or an ATI Radeon 4850. Seems reasonable, right? Get ready for some bad news Dark Souls fans. Yes, the game is coming to the PC and that’s what most of us have been asking all this time. And although some of you misunderstood From Software’s statement about the ‘720p resolution’ restriction, we are happy to report that the game supports resolutions up to 1080p. Namco has released a trailer for the new content that will be featured in the ‘Prepare to Die Edition’ of Dark Souls. This new content is entitled as ‘Artorias of the Abyss’ and will be released on consoles as a DLC. Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss will be available this winter in Europe and Australasia on consoles, whereas Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be available this August on the PC.
