Squadron 42 PC minimum requirements revealed and list 16GB of RAM, new teaser trailer released
Cloud Imperium has revealed the official PC minimum requirements for Squadron 42; the single-player portion of Star Citizen. According to the specs, PC gamers will need at least 16GB of RAM. Crytek sues Cloud Imperium for violating their CRYENGINE contract [UPDATE: Cloud Imperium comments]
Things are not looking good for Star Citizen and Squadron 42. Crytek has sued Cloud Imperium and Roberts Space Industries for violating their contract. According to the suit, Cloud Imperium was to develop only one game with CRYENGINE (Star Citizen) and not two (Star Citizen and Squadron 42). And while some may say that Squadron 42 is just the single-player mode of Star Citizen, the game is being sold as a standalone title, thus giving the impression of a second, separate game. As we’ve reported last week, Star Citizen’s 3.0 alpha is now available on the PTU. And while the game is still nowhere close to be completed, Cloud Imperium has added microtransactions to it. Star Citizen – Alpha 3.0 is now available on Public Test Server to all Evocati Test Flight members
Cloud Imperium has released an early version of Star Citizen 3.0 to all Evocati Test Flight volunteer members. According to the development team, this is a giant step towards getting 3.0 in the hands of all backers. Hopefully we’ll see Star Citizen 3.0 releasing to all backers by the end of this month (or this year).
