DayZ Standalone – First Screenshots Revealed

Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall has unveiled the first screenshots from the standalone version of DayZ. As Dead notes, these are work-in-progress shots with only basic texture work and initial lighting passes. In other words, these are as early as they can possibly can. The standalone version of DayZ is expected around December and will follow Minecraft’s model (releasing as an alpha for early addopters and moving progressively towards the beta and final stages). ArmA 2 Movie: The Beginning of Sorrows Is One Of The Most Ambitious Machinima Movies

Our reader ‘GhostRiderLSOV’ has sent us one of the most ambitious ArmA 2 machinima movies we’ve ever seen. Directed, edited and produced by Binary Orchestra, this movie shows an invasion at Seattle that puts against the US army with the Russian one. Bohemia provides further details about the Lemnos incident, launches community support website

Bohemia Interactive has provided us with some additional information about the arrest of its two employees. According to the company, Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar visited the island as tourists and took photographs and videos in public areas, like most tourists do. These included a short video as they drove through the main road passing around the international airport, where in one short part of the video off in the distance some hangars and other buildings of the complex can be seen. Bohemia Interactive has released a video demonstration for Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. Carrier Command: Gaea Mission promises to offer a breathtaking combination of action game with strategic elements. As a battle-hardened member of the United Earth Coalition, Lt Myrik is put in command of an armed vehicle carrier. By traversing the seas and establishing a network of island bases, he sets out to hunt down the Asian Pacific Alliance and conquer the Dead Zone on the planetoid Taurus. Bohemia Interactive issues an official statement about the Lemnos incident – “we always respect the law”

Bohemia Interactive has issued an official statement about the arrest of its two employees from the Greek authorities on Lemnos. According to the company’s CEO, Marek Spanel, two of Bohemia Interactive’s employees were arrested during their holiday trip to Lemnos. Contrary to previous reports, Bohemia states that they visited the island with the sole purpose of experiencing the island’s beautiful surroundings and not for capturing new footage for ArmA 3. Two Czech men arrested at Limnos island by the Greek police; claim to be members of Bohemia Interactive

Now this is a really weird story. Earlier yesterday, two Czech men were arrested at Limnos island by the Greek police. According to the police reports, it seems that these Czech guys were taking photographs of Limnos’ military bases, something that is prohibited in Greek islands. However, these Czech guys claimed to be members of Bohemia Interactive and stated that they were taking photos for their upcoming military FPS title, ArmA III.
