Square Enix has released a new batch of screenshots for THIEF. Now this may be my imagination, but I swear that SweetFX’s sharpening filter can be noticed in these following images. That, or these are some shots that got their beloved ‘photoshop’ treatment. Either way, PC gamers will be able to match these visuals thanks to SweetFX, so there is no point claiming that they are bullshots. THIEF is coming next month on the PC and will support Mantle. There is gameplay footage on ign of those areas that doesnt look anywhere near that good.
Seems nixxes is pulling another deus ex with shopped screenshots.
Must be the console peasant version of the game.
Yeah ,people will watch screenshots to judge the game when there is plenty of game footage out here.
btw all the videos are from consoles,the last ones are from PS4 and the game can’t be maxed out on that hardware and they said that the game will look the best on PC 😉

you are responsible for that, now i have interest to see what happens with this game and the latest footage i saw had nonlinear areas and lot of secrets to find and great atmosphere.
i find it funny that the footage i saw had textures that could be from the current gen version. It is becoming more evident this game is like dishonored and deus ex and the screenshots are shopped. Hope am wrong, but i dont freaking get why all the gameplay footage is laughable compared to the screenshots…dunno could be that they are shopped?
I still dont get why they would intentionaly show the game running on weak hardware even on trailers.
There is a quite difference in quality with SS taken in game and yt video.
And of course they will add the ps sharpening filter,blur effect here and there on those screenshots,every game publisher marketing team does the same thing but to add extra shadows and improve lightning effects? I don’t think so.
I watched a preview video today from some site, and they said the pc version is FAR superior than either old consoles and new consoles. And judging by that, it means ALL the footage shown so far from this game was from PC. So expect the game on any console, be it xbox 360 or Ps4/xbone to look worse that every gameplay trailer they’ve shown.
Eurogamer said that they played the game on ps4 and you could see the PS controller button prompts on every video…
Some impressive texture work there. I guess that’s one benefit of next gen consoles, the textures in PC ports won’t be so low res anymore.
