Electronic Arts and Ghost Games have revealed some new screenshots for Need For Speed. Powered by Frostbite 3, Need For Speed looks incredible. The attention to detail is extraordinary, especially when we take account the game’s open-world nature. Need For Speed will be coming in 2016 on the PC. Enjoy!

  1. 0 FPS Photo-Mode screenshots, obviously they will look this amazing. Forza Motorsport 4 and Gran Turismo 5 already had these visuals 4-5 years ago in their Photo-Modes and they were achieved on last gen consoles. But during gameplay they looked much less detailed. This is a common technique is driving games to give the illusion that the graphics are much much better than what they actually are.

    1. Yeah, the same they did with The Witcher 2 and 3 during cut scenes. Very detailed assets while in game they were meh in comparison.

      1. It was the same with little different lighting, faces ofc are more detailed because you really couldnt see them properly normally in game.

    2. They looked that good because it was a photo mode in a small plot of land with photos in the background. And nothing else, especially dynamic. Look at the screenshots below and say that they are same in any way…

    1. A lot of gamers. The game does indeed look stunning and the only 2 issues I have with it so far are:

      1. Its Online only
      2. It got delayed on PC

      1. There’s nothing wrong with it being delayed. You would be b*tching if it got released and was capped at 30 fps and didn’t look better than consoles

  2. That chromatic aberration in the third screenshot is dreadful.

I can’t wait until devs move on from using chromatic aberration and finally see it’s a terrible effect.
