Gears of War 4 – 4K Screenshots

Microsoft has just released Gears of War 4 and below you can find some 4K screenshots from it. As you can see, we’ve included the in-game statistics in these screenshots in order to give you an idea of how the game runs on a single GTX980Ti at 4K on Ultra settings.

The Coalition has done an incredible work, as Gears of War 4 runs with more than 30fps on a single GTX980Ti at 4K on Ultra settings. This basically means that PC gamers can lock the framerate to 30fps and experience this title in glorious 4K, without the need of an SLI system.

Gears of War 4 seems to be one of the most optimized PC games of 2016, so stay tuned for our PC Performance Analysis.

Those interested can download the uncompressed images from here.

Enjoy!

  1. The game is awesome, great performance, nice graphics. Probably the most customization graphics settings I’ve seen and the best in game benchmark tool, I thought Doom had a great one, but this one is better. Not only does it track standard fps, but will also give live data on on vram usage, and how much of the gpu is being utilized. When done it plots a scatter chart, so you can pinpoint any bottlenecks very easily, whether its gpu bound, cpu mem etc..
For me playing at Ultra at 2560×1440 on my overclocked 980 averaging about 65 fps. Dev’s say that in game native mGPU support should be out within the week.
What the heck? Mafia 3 hits the ground like a flaming turd while a Gears actually shows MS and co doing it right for once. (just once! but hey it;s a start :p )

    1. What are your settings to get 65 fps on 1440p ? I tried doing that with my 980 but it dips around 50s on 1440p, using dynamic resolution scaling fix that but then it lowers quality in some areas so I went back to 1080p with all ultra and dynamic resolution scaling turned off entirely. It stays on 60 now, I am waiting for mGPU support to make it work on 1440p.

And yeah Mafia 3 is a mess, glad I didn’t spent money of that unfinished garbage, totally worth it to buy Gears instead despite being a UWP title, it is a proper PC title like it’s made for PC from the ground up.

      1. I just set to ultra preset. I have vsync disabled which is usually good for a few frames, I have a gsync monitor. But I do have some heavy overclocks on my 980’s specifically aimed at where potential bottle necks. I have a 500mhz oc to vram which ups the memory bandwidth from 224GB/s to about 268 Gb/s . That is probably one of the biggest things holding back performance in these newer games, Higher res = greater bw needed to keep up w/ frame placement.

I also have a more humble 200mhz OC on my 980s core clocks bringing base clocks up to 1467Mhz. To round it out, I have an i5 4690K OC’d from 3.5 to 4.1Ghz.

All of these probably could be higher, but where I’m at gives great stability, no crashes or overheating, and depending on the title of course give me about 10 fps boost over running stuff at stock. I am pretty hyped to see the mGPU support come online, as far as I know the only other title that does it native to the game is DuesEx:MD, with thier latest patchbeta and people are seeing better scalinghigher frame rate all across the board, compared to using a driver profile in Dx11

        1. I see, thanks for the detailed reply. My 980 is Gigabyte G1 so an overclock of 100Mhz bring it to 1450 or somewhere around that but I haven’t applied any overclock to vram, I will check that today.

My CPU is i7 5820K with a mild overclock from 3.6 to 3.8 Ghz but I can push that further if that helps but I haven’t faced any bottlenecks on CPU side (according to the game’s benchmark) but the GPU was maxed out so it’s certainly GPU holding back.

I am also waiting eagerly for the mGPU, I know 4K most likely isn’t possible but I will try and see how it goes otherwise dial back to 1440p, the game looks awesome as it is.

Btw according to your second post, I think I haven’t disabled my SLI or forced the game to use one GPU, that might be the reason of low fps so I will try that as well, thanks for the tip!

      2. oah 1 more thing, go into nvidia control panel and set gears of war 4 game profile to explicit Single GPU, as there have been reports of failing to do so resulting in frame rate drops.

    2. “Gears actually shows MS and co doing it right for once. (just once! but hey it;s a start”

I blame Unreal 4. It’s all Epic’s fault. They failed to give Microsoft’s in-studio engines the opportunity to come along & screw things up ala-Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

      1. No, MS use own version od UE4. As all we know EPIC boss (Tim Sweeney) hate MS. He don’t like DX12 or UWP. Sweeney never allow own engineers spend time on DX12 or UWP. But UE4 engine was “open source” so MS create own “fork” on GitHub and write own extensions like:

        – DX12 renderer
        – caching of shaders and geometry (not available on basic UE4)
        – support for Muli-GPU
        – support for UWP
        – new network package with support of Xbox Live

EPIC engineers don’t write a single line of code to support DX12 or UWP.

        1. “The Coalition was one of the first studios outside of Epic Games to get early access to Unreal Engine 4 in early 2012. We have a great working relationship with the Unreal Engine team. As a member of the Unreal Engine Technical Advisory Board we have continuously encouraged improvements to the engine for triple-A development. Microsoft has contributed to UE4 platform features such as DirectX 12 as well as numerous optimisations and bug fixes. Epic Games constantly improves and evolves the engine and we have kept pace by upgrading to the latest versions throughout development. Gears of War 4 will ship on UE 4.11 along with many of our own custom extensions and improvements.”

Source: Eurogamer – “Tech Interview: Gears of War 4”

It might be a modified version of Unreal 4.11, but unless it’s been modified to the point wherein it’s a completely different Engine that’s no longer compatible with Epic’s updates (which it doesn’t sound like it is), the way Star Citizen’s Engine is, then it’s technically still Epic’s Unreal 4, at its core, minor modifications aside.

          1. Yes… MS write all DX12 code and shaded it when was ready. CEO of EPIC (Tim Sweeney) hate MS and Windows 10 so he never allow own engineers to work on DX12 with MS engineers.

MS engineers work on “extension” with DX12, UWP and Xbox Live
EPIC engineers work on base UE4 with DX11, OpenGL and Vulkan.

They cooperate but EPIC engineers can’t work on DX12 or UWP. All extensions created by MS are “open source” on GitHub

          2. “As a member of the Unreal Engine Technical Advisory Board we have continuously encouraged improvements to the engine for triple-A development. Microsoft has contributed to UE4 platform features such as DirectX 12 as well as numerous optimisations and bug fixes. Epic Games constantly improves and evolves the engine”

Can you read, or are you just selectively ignoring what it says to better fit your warped reality?

Tim Sweeney can say anything he wants about Windows 10, that’s him voicing his personal thoughts on something. In reality, they mean very little, since, as far as I’m aware, he doesn’t even control the majority of his own company anymore. Epic Games’ business relationship with Microsoft, is another thing entirely, as it’s a for-profit-based endeavour.

“EPIC engineers work on base UE4 with DX11, OpenGL and Vulkan. They cooperate but EPIC engineers can’t work on DX12 or UWP.”

What. Do you even have an actual source for this?

          3. You can check this on GitHub. Both version of UE are open source. All parts of “DX12” are “commited” by Microsoft employee.

Tim Sweeney don’t like Windows 10, DX12 or UWP. MS crated first AAA title on UE4, best optimized game of 2016… but Tim Sweeney don’t say a word about it. Not a single interview. He really hate Windows 10 🙂

          4. And? Anyone can create UE4 Plug-ins, or personally fix a bug, patch in a new feature, etc. etc. etc.

Every single time Epic Games releases an update for Unreal 4, there’s a list of non-Epic Games employee’s names right across the top – people who’ve contributed pieces of coding to the new Unreal 4 release.

So what if Epic Games let Microsoft’s Direct3D team do the DX12 implementation in Unreal 4 themselves, instead of doing it in-house? Doesn’t that just mean Epic was smart enough to realise that they’d be the best people for the job in the first place?

Literally the biggest problem plaguing DX12 right now is half-assed in-house implementations haphazardly inserted into engines by inexperienced people who have no idea what the f*ck they’re doing, but when Microsoft does an implementation of DX12 by themselves & actually (supposedly) ends up with good performance results as a result of that action, you want to f*cking complain about it?

            SERIOUSLY?!

          5. “So what if Epic Games let Microsoft’s Direct3D team do the DX12 implementation in Unreal 4 themselves, instead of doing it in-house?”

This was only way. EPIC CEO hate Windows 10 but engine UE4 is open source. MS want promote Windows 10 so they create own extensions with DX12 and UWP

Tim Sweeney are not very happy about Gears 4. He really hate UWP and Windows 10 🙂

          6. 3 posts later, you’re still claiming that the Epic CEO is letting his personal feelings for Windows 10 get in the way of his business (a business that he doesn’t even have majority ownership of, anymore, by the way), but you’ve yet to provide a single ounce of evidence towards that, beyond “GitHub.”

            So, again – proof?

I mean, seriously, if the Epic-Microsoft relationship is so rocky, why didn’t Microsoft just tell The Coalition not to use Unreal 4? Why didn’t they just give them the new engine that 343 made for the Xbox One, instead? After all, 343 & The Coalition are both new Studios working on IP’s that they didn’t originally create, so they’re basically facing the same problems, and they’re both owned by the same parent company, and they’re working on the same platforms, and they’ve both had to move on from the old engines the original developers were using on those IP’s, so, again, why not?

No, seriously, why keep using Unreal, if the Microsoft-Epic relationship is so rocky? They could have dropped the Epic relationship entirely the moment they moved on from Unreal 3, but they didn’t. Instead, they opted to pick up Unreal 4, & by doing so, lock themselves into it for the entire new trilogy.

            Why?

          7. “if the Epic-Microsoft relationship is so rocky, why didn’t Microsoft just tell The Coalition not to use Unreal 4?”

Because they can’t. Tim Sweeney hate Windows 10 but he can’t deny access to UE4 source code. Source of unreal engine is open source. MS download all source, create own version on github without any help of EPIC. Now we have two different version (forks) of UE4. One created by EPIC and one forked and extended by MS. Only “ms version” support things like UWP, geometry caching or DX12 multi gpu.

            GITHUB:
            Project: “MICROSOFT-XBOX-ATG/MICROSOFT_UWP_UNREAL”

          8. You do realise you literally just described copyright theft, right?

Unreal’s “openness” doesn’t mean “download it, edit 3 lines of it, publish it as your own, & make profit off of it”, it means “you have the right to edit it, as you see fit, but if you want to make money with our tech, you best take out a f*cking license, unless you want to get sued for theft.”

P.S. Epic’s Unreal 4.13 fully supports UWP, DX12, etc. Neither versions have DX12 multi-GPU support, as of yet. Microsoft has announced future m-GPU support for Gears 4, but, it has not yet been implemented.

          9. “Unreal’s openness doesn’t mean download it, edit 3 lines of it, publish it as your own, & make profit off of it”,

No profit. MS give access for own version for free to all EPIC customers. If you’re in “Epic developer program” you can choose to download “MS version” for free with full source code. MS don’t want earn money on UE4. They want promote Windows 10 among developers. So all MS extensions are for free.

          10. They still need to pay Epic Games a licensing fee for using Unreal 4 on Gears 4, however, since Gears 4 is a commercial enterprise (i.e. a for-profit endeavour, i.e. IT’S NOT FREE).

Uploading coding to GitHub is one thing, using that coding in something that you’re making money off of, is another thing entirely, & modifying 3 lines of code from Unreal 4 doesn’t exclude them from paying Epic licensing fees for using Unreal 4 in the first place.

          11. You pay EPIC for access to “Epic developer program”. MS version of UE4 are free but only for EPIC customers. MS don’t directly earn money of own version of UE but focus on promotion of Windows 10.

To access MS version you must:
            1. Create a GitHub account.
            2. Sign up for the Epic program
            3. Follow the instructions to associate your Epic Program account with your GitHub account.
            4. Login to GitHub and download source of project ‘MICROSOFT-XBOX-ATG/MICROSOFT_UWP_UNREAL’

And you’re ready to go. Full access to “gears 4 version of UE4” with latest extensions from MS like DX12, UWP etc

          12. Let me be quite clear about this, once & for all;

Epic Games uploading their source code to GitHub does not, & Microsoft signing up to the “Epic Developers Program” (whatever the f*ck that is – I can’t find a single mention of it anywhere) DOES NOT give them (Microsoft), or anyone else, for that matter legal right to use Unreal 4 in a for-profit endeavour without paying Epic Games the licensing fees for Unreal 4 – modified, or not.

            What it does do is give Microsoft &/or anyone else the power to modify, alter, & subsequently freely distribute their own modifications to Unreal 4’s source code under the same guidelines as Epic. Nothing else. Once again, TO BE CLEAR;

MICROSOFT DOES NOT OWN UNREAL 4. EPIC GAMES OWNS UNREAL 4. AS A RESULT, EPIC GAMES HAS THE ABSOLUTE, LEGALLY BINDING POWER TO DECREE WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO MAKE FOR-PROFIT GAMES WITH UNREAL 4. EPIC GAMES IS FULLY WITHIN THEIR LEGAL RIGHTS TO STOP MICROSOFT FROM USING UNREAL 4 AT ANY POINT IN TIME, AS LONG AS THEY SO MUCH AS WISH TO, REGARDLESS OF ITS PRESENCE ON F*CKING GITHUB.

The ONLY exception to this, is if Microsoft has secured an irrevocable license for Unreal 4, under legally binding contract for all 3 entries in the new Gears trilogy. Other than that, Epic Games is still within their legal rights to deny Microsoft the right to use Unreal 4 on any & all future Gears games. Hell, any games at all, for that matter, & I’m pretty sure (don’t quote me on this, since I’m not positive, to be fair) they can even get an injunction to have their Github code taken down, since they own the original, if they so much as WANT to.

If (I highly doubt it, but let’s say, for a second, that it is so) Microsoft only bought one Unreal 4 license from Epic, then they used that license on Gears 4. As a result, as of Gears 4’s public release, the future of the Gears franchise on the Unreal Engine rests SOLELY within Epic’s hands. Github source code distribution means NOTHING. It is NOT legally binding, & it does NOT give Microsoft ANY legal rights to use Unreal 4 in ANY for-profit endeavours what-so-ever without first securing an Unreal 4 license from Epic Games.

One last time, just to be absolutely clear; Microsoft has NO legal right to use Unreal 4 in any for-profit endeavours without first securing a license from Epic Games the original owners. Yes, they can share their modified source code on Github, but that’s it. PERIOD.

          13. You clearly don’t understand. So I repeat it for you. You have two different version of UE4. One basic created by EPIC and second one created by Microsoft. Both versions are on github. If you want download “MS version” follow these points:

This is version created by MS for Gears of War 4. With all extensions used by Gears. Fully optimized for DX12 and UWP

            ITS SIMPLE.

          14. Actually, that’s the only part of your posts on this thread that I have understood, quite clearly, & have no argument with.

    3. Careful, you can’t say anything nice about UWP on here or the plebs attack.

But yeah, the graphics options and benchmark/info are excellent in this, putting 99.9% of other PC games to shame. The temporal AA is also pretty much perfect, one of the best AA implementations i’ve ever seen, along with Doom 2016’s TAA, but maybe even better. And it’s sad i even have to say this, but this is how a game release should be… This games runs well and works well ON RELEASE DAY.

Mafia 3 on the other hand looks massively worse, runs WAY worse and is buggy as #%$*. Mafia 3 is sadly more the norm these days.

      1. Why, there’s actually something good &/or nice about UWP to say?

The games exclusive to it don’t count, no. GFWL was bad, that didn’t automatically make the games using GFWL bad, it just made their developers morons, especially the ones who weren’t owned by Microsoft.

        1. Hey I have a busted watch and it’s right at least 2 times a day, but wrong the other 22 hrs. I think that’s a good analogy of Microsoft’s PC efforts right now. We get a decent Forza, great Gears, so I am predicting next title probably be back to mediocre at best.

          1. Kind-of like their OS releases, basically?

            Windows 2000 – sh*t, Windows XP – epic, Windows Vista – sh*t, Windows 7 – epic, Windows 8 – sh*t, Windows 8.1 – decent, Windows 10 – sh*t, Windows “11” (12?) – ?

            ;D

          2. It would almost have Windows 8’s reputation, arguably, as, at least 8.1 has a built-in Start Menu, unlike 8.0.

I still can’t get over how hilarious that particular bullet point is, honestly.

Not to mention the ridiculous “mandatory boot into a UI comprised of panels massive enough to make a 5-year-old happy, because, apparently there shouldn’t be any difference between desktop & mobile systems, because….. yeah…..”

(They did remove that bit in 8.1, didn’t they?)

        2. I agree with you that UWP is not good, it really isn’t. The error I faced with my installation is one example of how limited and stupid it is however I don’t agree that every game that use it is bad game, you should really try Gears before concluding that because like I said before it’s probably the most optimized and polished game of 2016 on PC and that is on release not after a dozen of patches not to mention it offers so many settings that it put several other PC games to shame, it’s extremely rare to see PC games like this these days.

The Coalition put a lot effort into PC version so it’s not really fair to punish them just because we hate UWP.

Remember we also hated Origin when EA revealed it ? today it’s quite good, maybe not better than Steam but still solid enough in it’s own ground, I cannot see how Mass Effect Andromedia and Battlefield 1 will be bad games if they are on Origin.

The biggest problem I see with UWP is that it doesn’t use Win32 which makes it very limited for now.

          1. “you should really try Gears before concluding”

Zatara can’t play this game – he use Windows 7

          2. Well I am just suggesting him to try, if not now then maybe later. A lot of users are skeptical of Windows 10 and UWP games, Microsoft is going to need a lot of good games like Gears 4 in order to prove their loyalty to PC gamers.

          3. Well I also hate Microsoft though we don’t have any other option than using their OS which is the biggest issue in PC gaming (OS dominance). Microsoft has a shady background so it’s hard to trust them. If Netscape is any evidence then it’s Microsoft habit to monopolize which is just bad for industry, if they can leave room for others while offering their own services then it’s good but this not how they work.

          4. I’m probably going to end up creating a Windows 10 partition just to play through the Bungie Halo games once they come to PC anyway (assuming they ever do, that is), so I might see if I can get a Gears 4 key just to enjoy the pretty sights & detailed settings panels if nothing else, as I’ve never particularly enjoyed Gears’ gameplay anyway, on the PC or otherwise.

It’s a simple & straightforward affair to make a partition, boot into it once, zerg my way through Halo 1-3 Anniversary, Reach, [whatever else], & then switch back to Windows 7, after all ;D

Well, either that, or I’ll just keep piggybacking on this one guy I know who has a permanent Win 10 partition (primarily for testing out DX12 modes, etc.) ^^

          5. Lol! yeah we shouldn’t miss our favorite games, that’s what matters the most.

So far DX12 offer lackluster titles in terms of performance, most of them are tech shows instead of games. Only Forza and Gears look proper games to me.

          6. “however I don’t agree that every game that use it is bad game”

That’s literally what I said (though I did kind-of spread that out between this post & the other one down there, to be fair…. >.<) – UWP doesn't make something bad, much like how GFWL didn't make the games that used it bad, it's just bad unto itself, regardless of the quality of the games upon it.

Also mentioned the other stuff about it being a good port etc. down there as well.

I still don't particularly like Origin, but I do agree, it's improved considerably over the last few years. Likewise, I concur – Andromeda won't be bad because it'll be an Origin-exclusive, it'll be bad because it'll be a bad game, period. The Origin exclusivity is just person-specific cake icing. The same applies to Battlefield 1 – Origin doesn't make the Campaign bad, or the Multiplayer buggy, it already is.

          7. I am sorry I didn’t saw your other post, I got you now. Yeah games should be blamed for their own quality rather than the quality of platform, sure platform makes a big difference but I am just happy that games that were considered exclusive before and out of PC’s reach are now appearing on PC as proper PC releases, even Microsoft cannot deny the success of PC though their intentions are never clear which is why UWP feels super suspicious, if they can co-exist with Steam then it’s no problem but this intention of monopoly is always wrong.

    4. Then on my overclocked 970 on 2560×1440 it will be around 60 fps on ultra? But i will play it on insane at 30 fps because i want the best graphics possible and dont care for 60 fps.

      1. Hey the choice is yours, but I wouldn’t play it with the insane options on, moreso than frame rate it will probably mess with your frame timing to make the game feel choppy.

There are 2 categories that have an Insane level, on is one is Circle Depth of Field (look up a boy and his kite demo) the other is Insane Screen Space reflections. They are literally only there for future proofing and have a heavy penalty even on the best graphics cards. They won’t select when you put it on Ultra, its something manual you have to set. They exist for tomorrow’s gpu s kind of like when Crysis first hit it’s top end settings were beyond the hardware that was out at the time.

Also like I say it’s up to you, but the game looks really good without that, like really really good.

        1. ?ut does these insane options make graphics so much better that they require future cards? Then as i said the best thing to do is to wait until 2018 and then buy a Volta card

  2. Having a blast with this one and yeah it’s my first UWP game after hearing alot of good things about it. UWP aside, the devs did an incredible job on this. I can easily say that it’s the most optimized and polished AAA game of 2016 on PC, not only that it has over 30 graphical settings to customize, in game benchmark tool and in game statistics option. Running it at all ultra at 1080p with a 980 and waiting for mGPU support to arrive so I can try it pushing it further.

    EDIT:

I should also mention that multiplayer is solid as well, playing horde for straight 2 or more hours and didn’t had any issue.

Btw a word of advice to anyone who haven’t bought or installed it yet but planning to do. Don’t install this game on a drive that will leave less than 80 GB after installation, I installed it on an old 128 GB SSD, leaving around 37 GB after install and when an update arrived today, the crap store refused to install it saying that the game needs at least 80 GB to install, now I am sure the update itself doesn’t require 80 GB but the store keeps saying that. I tried to move the installation to another drive using Windows setting but that also resulted in an error so now I am downloading it again on a bigger drive. Just don’t do that mistake.

    1. On the other hand, the Campaign is as ridiculous as Halo 4’s (if not even more so), so unless you’re a fan of boring generic cover shooters with a story you should seriously just completely ignore, Gears of War Horde Co-Op, or Gears of War Multiplayer, avoid, & pick up in a couple of years, once Microsoft finally docks its price tag (or just do the other thing, in the meantime, y’know… that thing).

Looking good is great, excellent optimisation is great, extensive setting is great, but if the game itself sucks…. >.>

      1. Well I don’t find it particularly boring but I understand that it’s more of a personal preference, I was a huge fan of gears series and it was painful to see it go from PC, now that it returned it feels good despite the game playing safe and sticking to the old formula.

Story is average yeah but that’s an issue with most of the shooters, even Quantum Break’s story doesn’t feel something new despite being based on a serial, it’s the same “Some experiment gone wrong and now the world is on fire”.

Also I rather go for a high polished/optimized generic shooter than some wannabe GTA clone like Mafia, I don’t even know why such games exist… I have my eyes on Shadow Warrior though, that looks cool and new as well.

      2. You’re real MS hater. Game have better campaign that Gears 2 and 3. Only one of 65 reviews say that don’t like campaign (ArsTechnica) all others love it. But you write that “campaign is bad” but you never play it. You can’t play it on your old Windows 7 🙂

How many games have cooperative campaign? Only Gears 4 and COD. And Gears is much better.

You will never play this game 🙂

        1. “You’re real MS hater.”

Says the one who hates Steam.

You’re never going to be free from calling the kettle black mate. I wouldn’t toss the same paint can.

        2. And you’re a real Microsoft sycophant who wouldn’t admit Gears 4 sucked even if every review on the planet called it the worse thing to ever happen to the Gears franchise….. Funny how that works, isn’t it?

Interesting. Most people I actually trust to be objective rank it better than Judgement, but worse than the original trilogy. Regardless, as always, time will tell; Halo 4 has a solid 87 on Metacritic, yet today it’s quite controversial. Halo 5 also holds a solid 86, yet it’s near universally hated (the sycophants insist, but yeah). Gears Judgement holds a rather lower 79, but, likewise, it aged extremely poorly.

Reviewers are irrelevant in the long-term, only fan reception is, as that is really the only thing that truly decides how well the sequel is going to be initially received & as a result, sell, in turn.

Yay, it has Co-Op. So what? >.>

    2. Ty for the tip.
Let me ask you something, what about the player base in versus mode, the part that im interested in and the part that has not crossplay support. Can you find games without issues??? What about differents game modes? Ty in advance

      1. Yw.

Unfortunately I only spent couple of hours with the game, few in campaign and few in horde mode, I bought it day before yesterday and haven’t tried the versus mode and then this new update launched which made got me stuck with 80 GB error so I am downloading it again on another drive, hopefully it will be finished today so I will try versus mode and let you know how it goes. My horde experience was great however, I immediately found a party (within 15 sec) and played for 2 hours straight, didn’t faced any lags or other issues during that. They also upgraded horde mode with class based system and some other good changes so it was fun, the enemies are also quite challenging.

I will let you know about other modes as well.

    3. I had the game day 1 and it never went below 60 fps on Ultra at 1080P on my G1 970. Finished the game as well and not one crash from start to finish.

    1. wait 2-4 months for le goty edition….. le meme base game with le reddit tier le meme optional online dlc like 1-3 maps no one will ever play, and le meme weapon skinz, and MAYBE EVEN poopy maps/ and meme modes n o EVER palZYZ!!!!

    2. Wait for “winter xbox ultimate sale” on site MajorNelson. It is always on early december and all MS games are usually at -50%. This game is shared between PC and Xbox so all “sales” on Xbox are available also on PC

You can also weekly check “Deals with GOLD” on Monday also on MajorNelson COM

  3. How the hell am I supposed to enjoy this without knowing what happened in gow 2 and 3? Come on MS, release those two on pc as well, cut it out this exclusive bullish*t

  4. From these screenshots, imo the lighting is very flat and not immersive as in the original E3 presentation. I know this is not a knock on the capabilities of UE4 but the artistic choice of the final global lighting for me leaves a lot to be desired. It makes the game look very “arcadey” instead of more grounded. Something like a Tomb Raider approach would have looked better I think.
