The Witcher 3 fans, the time has finally come. After numerous teasers and comparison videos, modder ‘Halk Hogan’ released the latest version of his The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project Mod. In order to celebrate this announcement, the modder has also released a new comparison video that you can find below.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project features very high-quality textures with great sharpness and performance. Additionally, this mod does not increase the VRAM requirements. Thus, if you’re already running the game on Max settings, you will be able to use this mod. Furthermore, this project features very high quality accurate normal maps, and a lot of them are baked from high poly meshes. Not only that, but The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project comes with high-quality meshes, and better objects LODs.
Halk Hogan PL has not listed the changes that he has made in this latest version of his mod. However, the modder has included ESRGAN, SFTGAN and Waifu2x on the mod’s NexusMods page. Therefore, we can assume that he has been using AI techniques in order to enhance the vanilla textures. This could explain why the new textures have the exact same art style as the vanilla ones.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project 12.0 Ultimate is 9.3GB in size, and you can download it from here.
Have fun!

Nice. Was waiting for this to be released to start a new playthrough with Redux.
Why do these low effort mods get exposure from DSOG?
Why do you make it your life’s goal to sh*t talk this mod?
Do you have a personal beef or is life just that miserable for you?
This stuff actually looks great compared to all the other mods I’ve seen. They used ai upscaling in parts and new textures in others. Looks great.
Reporting?
You may not like the mod, but low effort? cmon mate, the level of quality, the attention to detail and the effort on keeping the textures cohesive and faithful to the rest of the game is something that few mods of this kind have. The man deserves the praise even when the videos are a little bit self jerk*ng and ridiculous at times (6 teaser trailers for a texture mod is too much imho).
Nah, is fine, not a fan of blocking people just because i disagree.
Here’s hoping Halk Hogan PL also does an iteration of this incredible mod for the upcoming TW3 remaster because many of his textures and meshes will still likely be superior to what CDPR gives us.
At the end of the video he says the mod will indeed be coming to the remaster or whatever it is.
Awesome!
I wonder if the Witcher3 Next Gen free update will look better than Halk Hogan’s mod. Not sure if CD Project Red can do a better job and make witcher 3 look more next gen. This mod took 5 years to develop.
CDProjektRed is not handling the next gen update, it’s Saber Interactive (the one that just made Crysis Remastered).
oh god no
crysis remastered was badly optimised
Wait for an update. there are some graphical bugs in ver 12.0
Ultimate reworked definitive remaster redux edition
one of the best mods ever! applied it the day it came out and really loved the step up in fidelity. Its fantastic.
I concur. I have been trying to free up some time to relax, and replaying The Witcher 3 is actually at the top of my list (also waiting on Cyberpunk 2077 release).
And I will be grabbing this mod, I think it would be a great enhancement to my replay. They have done an excellent job here, and it has me even more excited for my down time. So my thanks to the devs, kudos all round.
will this work with the steam version?
