Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.5 Release Notes Revealed

CD Projekt RED has announced that Title Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released tomorrow and has shared its full patch notes. So, let’s see what this new update brings to the table.

The new Cyberpunk 2077 update adds fresh quests, gear, outfits, and more ways to change V’s look. It also brings new perks, mod support, tech upgrades, and many bug fixes.

Patch 2.5 adds a new side quest called Clampdown. It takes place before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. You can unlock it after The Heist and two gigs for Wakako. The quest also adds a new five-piece gear set based on King. There is also a new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, with songs from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Night City also gets five new outfit sets, with more gear on the way. You can buy the NUS Infiltrator set from shops in Kabuki and Japantown. Some hairstyles once made for NPCs are now open to V, too. You can even change the look and color of your hand cyberware at five new Glamdocs. This works with Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire, and the Projectile Launch System.

Furthermore, Update 2.5 adds a new perk called Double Trouble. It lets you use two Power pistols or revolvers at once. You can also use new poses and frames from the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game in Photo Mode. Four new skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech are also up for grabs through Twitch Drops.

You can now browse and install select player-made mods right from the game menu. This new feature uses mod.io and works on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. More mods will be added over time.

Two new quests also give you more to do in Night City. Welcome to Paradise takes you on a tour of the city, led by Richard Night. It unlocks after The Heist and at level 15 Street Cred. The update also adds 12 Minor Arcana Tarot Cards to find. Find one to start a new quest, then collect them all to earn a special reward.

There are also some handy changes. Save files are now grouped by playthrough, and you can filter items in your home and car stashes. Saves that use mods now have their own icon. On consoles, though, you cannot earn trophies or achievements while using a modded save.

The update also brings major tech upgrades. It adds DLSS 4.5, with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation or Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. It also adds support for glasses-free 3D on some Samsung Odyssey 3D screens. Mac users get MetalFX Frame Interpolation and Denoising. You can also turn FSR Anti-Lag 2 on or off. The update improves game speed, ray tracing, and HDR image quality. AMD FSR options have also changed. FSR 3 upscaling is gone, but FSR 2.1, FSR 4, and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation remain.

Last but not least, the update fixes several bugs. These include a Delamain cab issue that could block a quest, a Film Grain setting that did not work, and a scan bug that could make V crouch or stand up. It also restores missing third-person camera settings for controllers and fixes typos and other issues.

As always, Steam will download this new update once it becomes available tomorrow. Below, you can also find its full changelog.
