IO Interactive released the Path Tracing Patch and shared the Path Tracing PC Requirements for its latest James Bond game, 007 First Light. This update will allow PC gamers to enjoy 007 First Light with real-time Path Tracing. So, let’s take a look at the new PC specs.
007 First Light uses IO Interactive’s in-house engine. To enable Path Tracing, you will need at least an Intel Core i5 13500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070. With this PC setup, you can run the game at native 1080p and 60 FPS on Path Tracing Medium Settings.
For native 1440p at 60 FPS with Path Tracing Medium settings, you will need the same CPU and RAM as above. For the GPU, however, you will need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080.
Finally, for gaming at 4K on Path Tracing High, you will need an Intel Core i5 13600K or an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090. With DLSS 4.5 enabled at 4K, owners of an NVIDIA RTX 5090 will get over 200 FPS. This is, obviously, with Multi-Frame Gen enabled.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. From what I saw, the Path Tracing Patch is 11GB in size.
