Entitled Napoleonic Wars, the DLC brings the brutal real-time combat of Mount & Blade to 19th Century Europe, presenting players with the opportunity to re-fight the final years of the Napoleonic Wars as any of five historical superpowers, using more than 220 unique military units. With a wide range of soldiers at their command, from artillery and engineers all the way to battlefield musicians, aspiring tacticians and combatants can engage in epic multiplayer mayhem with up to 250 players at once. As promised, Crytek has revealed a teaser footage for their 2013 CryEngine 3 powered FPS, Crysis 3. This teaser shows some breathtaking graphics, with warm lighting effects, smoother animations and a step forward to introducing more believable TODs. Enodo has released a DemoReel 2012 video for their cities that were achieved with CryEngine 3. According to the company, the virtual cityscapes shown here made it easy to visualize the changes that would result from a large-scale urban planning project, so that the impact of every design choice could be thoroughly considered, since changing any element of the virtual world is made easier with real-time 3D rendering that lets objects be moved and changes seen immediately. City Interactive has zeroed in an August 21, 2012 launch date for the release of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. The sequel to the multi-million unit selling first-person shooter (FPS) for PS3, X360 and PC uses the advanced CryENGINE 3 game engine to produce the most authentic sniping experience to date in a video game. It took Bethesda a while but finally, they made an official statement about Prey 2’s development. According to Beth’s official blog, the game is still under development, however it won’t be released in 2012. The delay is said to be due to the fact that ‘game development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year, and the game does not currently meet our quality standards‘.
