Our reader Jonathan Gustafsson has sent us a interesting video from – what seems to be – a cancelled GTA IV project. This project attempted to port GTA2 into GTA IV’s game engine, the RAGE Engine, and looks cute and sexy. It also gives us a glipse at what a proper, top-down isometric, GTA game with high-resolution textures and assets would look like in a modern-day engine. Bad news for those who are still stuck with Windows XP, as Nixxes Software has confirmed that Hitman: Absolution won’t support this particular OS. When asked about the minimum requirements of Hitman: Absolution (at EIDOS official forum), a member suggested that Windows XP would be supported as it was listed on Amazon’s product page. However, that’s not the case. A member from Nixxes then replied (the team porting the game, that was also responsible for the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution) and said that the game – as Hitman: Sniper Challenge – won’t support Windows XP.
