Portalarium has announced the first release of Garriott’s Shroud of the Avatar fantasy role-playing game. Backers of the crowd funded project today can log in to their accounts, download the client, create a character and begin to wander and explore the streets of Owl’s Head, the game’s first town open for business. You know what? Deathsquad’s podcast with Cliff Bleszinski is really, really interesting. First and foremost, that podcast revealed some of the new features of Bleszinski’s upcoming title. Secondly, in that podcast Bleszinski claimed that Xbox One and PS4 are nothing impressive (as they are more of the same) compared to Oculus Rift. Frictional Games has released a new video for its upcoming horror title SOMA, featuring some new in-engine footage from it. SOMA is a sci-fi horror game from Frictional Games, creators of the groundbreaking Amnesia and Penumbra series.
