Digital Bros has announced that it has entered into a development and publishing agreement with Chengdu Recursive Dolphin Technology for the development of the sequel to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Moreover, 505 Games has announced that the first game has generated more than Euro 30 million in revenues in just eight months since its launch.
Digital Bros has acquired the intellectual property rights relating to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers in April 2026. This means that the group holds full ownership of the IP. 505 Games will publish the sequel, and its initial investment amounts to Euro 21.5 million.
What’s really interesting here is that the game will be developed by Xia Siyuan, the creative director and project leader of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Xia Siyuan left Leenzee when the first game came out and founded Chengdu Recursive Dolphin Technology. And now, Digital Bros has chosen his studio for the development of the sequel.
I don’t know how many of you have played Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Personally, I really enjoyed it. It’s not THE best non-FromSoftware Souls game. However, it’s among the best ones we’ve gotten these past few years. Thus, I’m excited about its sequel.
From the looks of it, the sequel is still in a very early development stage. Digital Bros has not shared any screenshots or trailer for it. So, don’t expect to be playing it anytime soon.
Stay tuned for more!
