Grand Theft Auto 6 leaked gameplay proper-2

To the surprise of no one, Rockstar has not announced Grand Theft Auto 6

According to numerous rumors, Rockstar was planning to officially reveal Grand Theft Auto 6 this month. Well, October is almost over and, guess what? Rockstar has not announced GTA 6. Oh no, how can this be? But but but… the insiders said that this would be the month.

Now I don’t really know how this rumor started. Perhaps it was due to the fake rating on the Australian Board? Either way, things got crazy after that rating, with numerous “insiders” claiming that the trailer would be coming out this week.

Things got even more crazy when people started sharing information about this trailer. Some folks even said they had details about how the game looks and how it’s made. A few said that a private video from Rockstar was the one for Grand Theft Auto 6. Later on, other “insiders” claimed that the trailer would be released on October 26th.

But there were even more rumors. Some people said that Take-Two reached out to a website owner and asked for the website GTA6.com to be given to them by October 26. Others thought an announcement on October 24 made more sense. That’s because they thought that Rockstar hinted at such a thing when it released a T-shirt in GTA 5 Online (I’m not joking). Also, Metacritic created a page for GTA6, and suddenly, many folks thought this was a clue of an imminent announcement.

Well, it’s now October 29th and as you may have guessed, Rockstar has not revealed anything at all. No GTA 6 hint, no GTA 6 tease, nothing.

This shouldn’t of course come as a surprise. From what we know, Rockstar had never announced a new GTA on a Thursday. Instead, the company has made its game announcements on a Tuesday. October still has one last Tuesday (October 31st) so I’ll eat my words if Rockstar suddenly reveals it. However, it’s more likely for Manchester United to win this year’s Champion’s League than for Rockstar to reveal GTA 6.

This situation reminds me of what happened with Abandoned. But I digress; nothing can beat Abandoned. People believed for years that Konami and Kojima were involved with it. For months, people thought that the music Kojima shared on X/Twitter was a hint or confirmation that Abandoned was secretly a remake of Silent Hill. I can’t imagine how disappointed those who wanted to believe in it must have felt when they realized that Abandoned was a hoax and nothing more.

Anyway, Grand Theft Auto 6 hasn’t been officially revealed. That’s the takeaway. And, just stop believing whatever you see online. Yes, I know that some of you want to believe. But be careful. Especially when some people try to use your excitement to make a profit.

  1. Doesn’t matter, we all know it is coming, who needs official anything?

There is game code floating around for crying out loud.

    1. To be fair Rockstar has already confirmed GTA VI development over a year ago (February 2022 to be precise), and there was a even leaked build as you all remember.

So there is nothing else to announce besides the release date, and doesn’t make any sense to make such an announcement now and outside of any big events.

So I really don’t know what John and the others are talking about (they speaking as if Rockstar hasn’t confirmed GTA VI yet).

  2. GTA V is the 2nd best selling video game of all time. It sold 185 million units so far and generated revenue of around 8 billion USD. Of course there will be a GTA VI.

I will steal Rockstar’s thunder and go ahead and announce GTA VI right now. It will be for nextgen consoles and no mention will be made about a PC release or when it will come out. This will ensure that when it does get released on the consoles gamers with a console and a PC will buy it immediately on console. Later when Rockstar has sold tens of millions of units on consoles they will announce a PC release and an estimated release date so that gamers will buy it a second time for the superior gaming experience on PC. So, they end up buying the same game twice.

Rockstar has become an expert at creating a huge audience of double dippers.

      1. I will be honest and confess my general ignorance of consoles. I don’t follow them at all. I don’t know when the current generation of consoles started or if there is a new generation to be released before GTA VI gets released. Occasionally I catch a piece of news here and there on consoles but I don’t go any farther to learn more about them.

The only console that I’ve ever owned was an Atari 2600 back in 1980. I was 18 and had little money for entertainment or I would have bought a computer even then.

    1. u are off by a unit. They will make it available for all consoles, not just next gen. That’s how they capitalize on revenue every decade or so.

  3. Well , I was not expecting anything from Rockstar games anyway , who outsource red dead port to third party company to port on last gen console like PS4 and switch and people still buying the port ,even they did not put any effort on that game .

  4. John why don’t you focus your energy on covering real games instead of wasting paragraphs on internet gossip?

  6. loool look at that fat latina, this is so cringe. not a single pixel about this is cool. video games supposed to be cool. what’s next, playing as a disabled black granny? how can leftards raise the bar I wonder
