Now here is a pleasant surprise. A game cracking group was able to completely remove Denuvo and VMProtect from the previous entry in the Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed: Origins. As such, there is now a definitive version of the game, without these DRM programs, that only pirates can enjoy.
Going into more details, the game cracking group was able to remove 30 VM entry points for VMProtect and 104 VM entry points for Denuvo. It was also able to fix around 500k absolute & relative code and data pointers.
The group states that this is currently an experimental Proof of Concept release. The main reason behind it was to verify whether Denuvo affects CPU usage and overall performance of this game. Therefore, PC gamers can now test these two versions in this CPU-heavy game and see whether these DRMs bring any performance hit.
As always, we won’t allow any links to pirated content and those who share such links will be banned. Still, and only for educational purposes, we will benchmark this version. We will also compare it with the Denuvo+VMProtect version that is available on UPLAY.

There is one in youtube but its the official benchmark of the game, DONT do it this way, denuvo has triggers, a scripted benchmark does not because the player has no control, benchmark by playing the game not running the benchmark.

Back when I first played it, this game was suttery as hell for me no matter the settings (on GTX 970, i5 6600k, 16GB RAM). I might try this crack just to see if it alleviates the stuttering.

And you think an i5 is a potato? Also a 1080ti is not a processor but a graphics card – last time I checked DRM are unlikely to affect graphics card performance, only hard disk load, CPU and maybe RAM.
Yes, I have i5 2400 and it starts slowly to lose battle. Newer games starts to bottleneck him way too often. It barely keep up with my 1050ti. Also, I used that 1080ti just to show example, you have head, use it plz!

Not really. AC origin, MH world, Gears 5, all of them put 100% load on my 2400 whole time. On Gears 5, gpu works on 60-80% while cpu is stuck on 100%. Even 10% performance boost would be great in those conditions

just because the fps value says 64 in both images, doesn’t mean the performance is the same. what matters is how smooth the game runs, and as the graphs show, without denuvo is much more smooth.

My guess is that these lines are not calculating frame pacing at all, the white lines are the previous test, and the green are the actual ones, in the denuvo section of the screen, the white lines are without any doubt from a previous bench with bad settings or hardware, figured this as the green line in the denuvo screen are the exact same as the white lines in the no denuvo part

Look at the frame pacing graph, it’s a piece of sh*t with Denuvo, this results on the recent bane of higher profile pc games: STUTTER, the diference is insane on that picture, the No Denuvo side is smooth as butter, the Denuvo side is showing Bloodborne tier levels of Frame Pacing, that’s the type of stuff that give Digital Foundry nightmares.
Just tried on the denuvo version, didn’t get these spikes, i don’t think it’s frametimes at all, frametimes are all the same in this test denuvo or not (16ms for 64 fps seems ok)

Strange… Possible bad hook of the dll, try another version of reshade and activate performance mode in the reshade UI, just tried before replying, it actually hit performance, but when i disable the effects, framerate goes higher…

I dont either, but I have a friend that loves planes even went to get pilots license, he probably already did, haven’t sen him for 10 years.
ANYWAY, all the planes are made by different people and companies and sold as add-ons thats why the price is so high.
On top of all every plane is 1:1 real and licensed, when he was in this business and making planes he had a team of 3-5 people and he worked directly with Boeing and other companies, they would liecnes him the plane for free or small percentage of sale but they demanded that everything to be based on their charts and specs, the model not only has to look 1:1 up to tiny knob somewhere in the toilet, but also be modular, like you make an engine model with all the details, you make toilet model, you make doors, dashboard, the more details the more expensive it is, some people made real 1:1 planes using virtual parts, they took the spec/charts for the plane made all the parts for the plane like in real life and then assembled it.
On top of all it has to behave like the real one in game, this software also used to teach flying.
Some plane models could cost over 1K USD even more, i heard about 5K for rare models, and you dont have an option to pirate them, since they made by small teams of people or individuals and sold online, if someone paid 1K or 4K USD for a model he wont share it with anyone.
People that play in this “game” usually nuts on plains and have rooms made to simulate actual planes, with actual dashboards from planes, some more rich people use real plane parts removed from planes.
This game is a VERY VERY VERY expensive hobby.
And its BORING A F, its not arcade, its real life simulator 1:1, imagine using passenger plane, with all the pre launch preparation then it flys and thats it, you can see the skys and teh ground and if its in 1:1 mode then flying time in game takes the same mount it takes in real life for each plane, the nerds that have simulator rooms, do such flights, for 12 hour or 24 hours straight
Of course this game has small planes and war planes and they more fun but doesn’t matter since you dont fight anyone you just FLY, its a fly simulator

Denuvo uses online authentication essentially like the version of SecuROM used in Tron: Evolution. Any game using Denuvo could one day have the plug pulled on it if the publisher or developer of that game stops paying for it.

You can get ALL ubisoft games with DLC for 12$ a month, sounds good, i actually got for one month then canceled, nothing really worthwhile to play, old games maybe and 2 latest AC games with DLC, such single company passes are problematic you limited to one type of game, i wish someone comes up with idea and unites them all in one pass, that will be great, ubisoft, Microsoft, EA maybe GOG and otehr companies

for me no real improvement apart the much faster loading time especially when clicking on the exe on the desktop, before that i would click wait like 30-40 seconds for it to even enter the game and now its instantaneous like it should be(game installed on SSD)
