A couple of days ago, Re-Logic’s Andrew “Redigit” Spinks released a massive update for Terraria that added lots of good stuff. It appears though that this was not the only thing the developer has been working on. As RPS revealed, Spinks is already considering and planning the sequel to his title, though production has not started as of yet. Still, Spinks shared some of his ideas for Terraria 2.
As Spinks told RPS:
“I’m super excited about starting Terraria 2. It’s a ways out, but it’s gonna have a lot in common with the original. It’s gonna be quite different as well. I really want to expand on the whole Terraria universe.”
“There’s a lot of stuff I’m locked into with Terraria. The way loot works, the way character progression works. In Terraria 2, I really want to have infinite worlds so you’re not just stuck to one world. You can travel anywhere. I want more biome diversity in that, too. There’s a lot of stuff [I want to add and change].”
Spinks also confirmed that Terraria will get yet another – massive? – update that will add a final endgame boss.
Overall, great news for fans of Terraria, though it’s still too early to dream about what Terraria 2 will look and play like.
