GFA Games has just launched the Open Beta phase for its STALKER-inspired FPS MMORPG, PIONER, on Steam. PC gamers can join the playtest and start playing it. So, if you’ve been looking forward to it, you should definitely try it.
The Open Beta lets you experience the full narrative arc, introducing key factions, locations, and mysteries of the island. From what I can see, there are five acts. In total, we’re looking at 30 hours of gameplay.
There are also three large-scale missions, including a World Boss encounter integrated into one of the storylines. Moreover, you can find updated and enhanced questlines across Rogue Wastelands and Murky Swamps, now featuring improved pacing, rewards, and exploration flow.
And that’s not all. The Open Beta offers the Training Raid, Raid “Manufacture”, and Carnage Tournament. Manufacture is a large-scale PvE activity designed to test coordination, skill, and firepower. On the other hand, Training Raid is a guided introduction to raid mechanics and team-based encounters. Finally, Carnage Tournament is PIONER’s unique tactical card mini-game. It features collectible decks, rewards, and ranked matches. Oh, and there is a PvP Deathmatch Mode.
Overall, this sounds like one of the best Open Betas. The fact that it has the entire campaign is both good and bad news. The good news is that you can experience it right now. The bad news is that it only has five Acts (I was hoping for more acts).
Anyway, you can go ahead and download the Open Beta from here.
Have fun!
